We have a reservation for 2:20 at CRT. I know I should give myself at least an hour for the meal, but is there a way that we may be able to walk out when done and view the parade from the castle? How long does the parade last?

Thanks!

The parade lasts about 20 minutes, but does not reach the Hub area near the castle until about ten minutes after it kicks off.

I would allow yourself at least an hour and a half for CRT lunch. You have to wait to take a photo with Cindy, wait to be seated, and then you are served a three course meal while you are meeting four princesses. Even if you really rush, it would be difficult to do this in an hour. It took us an hour and a half and we did not dawdle and were seated right away.

I agree with JeninTexas that unless you are seated without delay, skip courses, and eat very fast, it's highly unlikely you'll be done at CRT in time to see the FoF parade. I would allow 90 minutes for CRT at a minimum, assuming you're seated on time.

I watched the parade from the FP+ reserved viewing area in October. Based on my photos, it arrived about 12 minutes after it stepped off (3:12 pm) and was finished about 12 minutes later (3:24 pm). So I would say the last float clears the castle area and is on Main Street no later than 3:30 pm.

okay, thank you! I didn't realize it was so short! Geeze! lol

It really is a pretty awesome little parade. The problem you are facing is that you want to do two things at once, and both of them are time consuming. Your CRT meal is a time commitment of at least 90 minutes, and when you consider the cost, it probably should not be rushed. The parade is also an attraction of sorts that takes up a good deal of time unless you want to scoot in just before it begins and hope you can see it.

When I plan my park days. I usually try to figure out what is important and plan around them. I would look at what days you have open and see if you can catch the parades then. I found that for my family to be able to enjoy all of our must do's we need a day at MK and then an evening, because those darn parades, which we do enjoy, seem to take up plenty of time.
