Do you think that it is worth it to use 2 credits for this meal? We want to try T-Rex one night so losing a dinner credit is no issue for us.

I have an 8 year old son who has been asking to dine in the castle.

Will we be dissapointed?

Also do you still have to give your credit card info to hold a spot if you are using dining plan credits?

I think it is worth it to eat in the castle at least once, especially if your son is requesting it! Go for breakfast or lunch to meet princesses! I also think it is worth using dining credits for, since that is what they are for!

When you make your ADR, you can tell them you are on the dining plan but still need to secure your ADR w/a credit card and it will only be charged if you are a no show....I would monitor that however just to be sure!

You can reserve now for reservations through June 19.

Happy planning!!

You take a photo w/Cinderella in the lobby (photo package included w/meal) and if you are lucky, the Fairy Godmother is around upstairs, perhaps w/mice Suzy and Perla.

You do a Cinderella meet & greet downstairs after you check in (and get a very nice photo package they deliver to your table during dinner - comes in the price of the meal)

During dinner, the Mice Maids (Susie & Perla) come around to the tables very briefly, then the Fairy godmother comes out & does a little song/dance about celebrations. She does not stop for pictures or meet/greets at all. You can catch her in a photo if you're ready, but she doesn't stop & pose. No princesses at dinner at all.

Unless your son is really "into" princesses, I would choose to go at dinner...the breakfast & lunch is much more girl oriented (lots of little princesses dressed up from BBB.)

There are a pile of princesses at Akershus in Norway and they are at B, L, & D. This also includes a photo w/Belle...when we ate there we met Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Aurora and Mulan. This is a 1 TS credit meal. The restaurant is also castle-ish.

We have done 1900 Park fare and he enjoyed the step sisters.

I appreciate all of your responses!

I do recall reading somewhere that the boys get a sword and the girls get a wand. Do they still do this?

We did this - DD and I are using all 4 of our TS credits for the day for lunch at CRT (DS and DH will use CS credits), then we'll be having dinner that night at T-REX and so paying OOP, works out fine. I also figure that her and i might be pretty full from the big lunch and order less at T-REX, thus saving a bit on the OOP costs.
