We are taking an extended family trip next summer to WDW. Several of my nieces want to make reservations for their families for CRT for breakfast. Although I've been to Disney a lot - we've never tried for this so I need to know how to successfully book this. It may be that several different families decide to go as families or all the girls will go with moms & daughters so we might have three or four families with four or five in each party or it could be all the moms/daughters which would be a group of about 10.

We are scheduled to be there checking in on June 12th 2010 - so can we call for ADRs 90 days + 10 days - so 100 days prior to June 12th or is that 90 days prior to June 12th and can make reservations for up to 10 days beyond June 12th? Are we smarter to have one person call and make the entire group's reservations - three different groups of 4 or 5 each. Is it impossible to get a group of 10? Do you have to call a special number to get an ADR for that many people?

They are all looking at me as the expert Disney planner - I don't want to steer anyone wrong. If there is a complete thread or specific directions somewhere - feel free to point me in that direction.

TIA

You have to call to get a group of 10 or more. The number they give on the website for group dining is 407-939-5665.

CRT is prepaid. The entire amount for the entire party must be paid at the time of booking. You haven't mentioned if you are going to be using the dining plan - for dining plan users they take a credit card hold. Under the current system you can call exactly 90 days prior to June 12 2010 and book for up to 10 days after June 12.

Thanks TDC Nala - I have one more question about ADRs for CRT for Breakfast - has anyone gotten them through the on-line ADR process. I saw somewhere that at 6:01 a.m. EDT you could make your ADR's for 90 days out - just wondering if that gives on-line reservation an hour lead time of those calling at 7:00 a.m.

TIA

I got my CRT reservation online, but you can only do online for less than 10 people. I was online at 6am and I definitely think I had an advantage to those calling. I also scheduled my CRT reservation later in my trip and that definitely helped.

You can call or go online 90 days prior to June 12 and book 10 days of your trip.

Since you have to prepay, I think I would have 2 people booking at the same time online at 6am. One for 8 and the other 4. Or 2 groups of 6 or something like that. And then when you check in ask to be sat together. But it depends how late into your trip you want the breakfast. If it's on day 10 of your trip, then I doubt you would have trouble booking for 12 people by calling.

Thanks so much - Since it has to be paid in full at the time of reservation - I think each family will need to make their own reservations or at least decide ahead of time and give the one calling the money up front. But now we'll know to make those reservations on-line at 5am Central time and beat the phone calling crowd! Sounds like a plan if none of this changes prior to March 2010!

I went online to check out the online ADR system. I saw where it said to please call for groups of 10 or more. However, I entered a party of 6 adults and 4 children for CRT dinner, and it went through, giving me a time slot and an amount that would have to be charged to a credit card ($443 rings a bell). Is it possible that the computer system had an error and that if this was my real ADR, it would not have gone through? Is it safer just to call for this in advance and wait until 7AM on the 90-day mark? Do we run the risk then of not getting a table though since others would have a one-hour advantage with the online system?

I called Disney Dining and asked a CM the same question and they did not seem to know. They said it should allow me to book a party of 10 because their system allows it. That was the only answer I got.
