I successfully booked all of our ADR's this morning with one minor glitch. We are a party of 8 this year and no availabilities where showing up for 8 guests. Instead I reserved 2 separate reservations for 4 guests that are 5 minutes apart from each other.

When we check-in for dinner at the podium and request to have both parties dine together will they accommodate the request as best they can? We don't have to be at the same table however in close proximity would be nice.

Since it's 2 seperate reservations it might be kind of tricky to get 2 tables close together. That said, you may get lucky.

You can always ask at check-in, but be prepared to be told that it won't be possible. You would need to have two tables near each other finish up at the same time. I doubt they would hold an empty table while they wait for another one nearby to come open because they're usually booked pretty much up. I would keep trying to get an ADR for the right size so you don't have to worry about it.

CMs will do everything they can to seat your 2 groups together or near each other. CRT, however, doesn't have many large tables so they would have to wait for 2 adjacent/nearby tables to open up almost simultaneously. My concern would be if there is another large party waiting that made a single reservation for their whole group - would that group take precedence over yours since you made 2 separate reservations.

I would keep checking online to try and find a single res for your entire group.

CRT is the one place we have dined as a family of 8 where we have been split up to two tables. They were right across the aisle from each other, which at Disney means you can reach and touch each other.:p

I think the odds are good that you will be near each other. Though it wouldn't hurt to show up a bit early for your meal and give them a heads up as to what you want. Good luck!

We had reservations for 6 and 2 and they had no problem putting us all together. I'd show up early so they can best accommodate putting you all together.

Thanks For the great feedback everyone. Always nice to hear other views on the situation ;)

I had to do something similar... A 5+2. Hopefully we will be close but if not then that will be understandable.

I couldn't make a ADR for 7 in April 2015, but made an ADR for 3 and an ADR for 4 at the same time...hoping for tables close since we are celebrating my granddaughter's 5th birthday on the day we have CRT. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Don't they usually seat in sections. I think you would have a good chance but be prepared for not being together. I do not remember seeing large tables in the restaurant but I was not looking for them either.
