Hi,

I've just booked this Hotel for June 11 through June 25. I know the hotel is highly recommended, but would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there.

Would also like to know what is within walking distance (things to do, bars, entertainment etc.). We have a car, but it would be nice to leave it at the hotel some days and have fun nearby!

Thanks in advance!

Dave.

My wife and I stayed there in February. Quite a nice place. We got a great deal thru a travel kiosk in Georgia. Our room was on the eleventh floor. Amazing view of the pool/Universal studios. Two big puffy queen beds with beautiful white duvets. It was so incredibly comfortable. Television had nintendo/ppv/on demand services with some first run movies. Room service was excellent. They have valet for $8/day, unlimited use. We were down during superbowl and watched some of the game in the bar. They have beautiful plasma High-Def monitors. Great salad and nice atmosphere. They also have a pizza place on site that makes great za. We never ate at the sit down restaurant but it looked really comfortable.

We had a car with us, so we did not do a lot of walking. There is a great seafood place within walking distance. It was called FishBones and had a great open wood fire grill. If you ask at the concierge desk you can get some free beverage tickets. Some souvenir shops were at the corner about 1 minute walk away. International Drive is probably a 10 minute walk away and there is a Dennys right on the corner.

I just want to mention the pool and spa. This was the best part. The pool was awesome with a great layout and nicely landscapped surroundings. It was the only pool we were able to swim in at night due to the warm warm water.
I worked out in the fitness center and it was top notch. Life Cycle/high end weight machines/free weights/treadmill; all supplied. Towel service included. Great stuff.

You can't go wrong with this place.

Hi Dave

DH and i stayed there in September last year for 9 nights. Great hotel. Really nice bright lobby with glass elevators - all the rooms surround the lobby in a U shape.
Rooms were big enough - we had a king bed on the 8th floor - comfiest bed in a hotel that i've ever slept in. Nice pool area with plenty of towels to hand. Bar and restaurant downstairs - they even have a Tiki cup which gives you unlimited soft drink refills if you want!
We had a car and took lots of day trips but at night we parked free of charge in the hotel car park. Only 10 min walk to I Drive and the centre of everything. About 10 min drive to Florida Mall. Great Thai restaurant right across the road too.
You will like it - have a great time. We're planning our next trip for late September into October and plan to stay at Crowne Plaza for a couple of nights on arival before hitting the coast.
