Crowds week of Tiana previews

We are headed to the parks June 15-20. I’m not an AP or any sort of person that qualifies for any of the previews for Tiana. I’m super worried now about our MK day (the 20th) and crowds. We’ve never ridden Guardians and that’s a big priority. My kids love MK and so do I! We wanted to save it for last, but now wondering with the previews that week is there a better day. I didn’t want to do Wednesday bc we don’t qualify for the late hours.

I don’t know the schedule of which days are big preview days or if they all are.

We also are doing Epcot on Sunday the 16th to get in Test track before it closes and I’m wondering if it’ll be mobbed. We don’t have park hoppers. We do have DAS which will help but for some of the same reasons we even have it, the crowds are worrisome.

Anyone have better insight than me on that week and if one day is better than another for MK? Or how the previews will affect the rest of the park? I imagine that people will do other things and I fear it being even harder to get a virtual que, etc.

No previews have ever been run this way so anyone claiming any insight is, uh… mistaken. That’s a DIS appropriate way to say that 😆

1. GOTG is in EP.

2. I would expect TT to be mobbed it’s last day. This means the LL could easily get backed up and recall if someone has issues with crowds TT packs them in prior to the car design room and after it DAS or not. Single Rider if your party is capable of it might be better as it skips all that. TT also breaks down a lot so I would do it asap that morning.

3. SPECULATION: APs may or may not stick around and might not even show up so I really don’t think all hope is lost. Could be as we’ve never experienced this before of course but during GOTG previews in Covid times AP preview days in EP were light crowd days. Many of the APs are local who are only there for the ride, not to spend the whole day. This time APs aren’t even guaranteed a time slot, so if they are local and don’t win the VQ (and they don’t have to enter a park for a morning or afternoon VQ try) they might not bother to go to the park even if they have a reservation.

You're right-I was thinking too fast. Tron and Guardians are both priorities as we have not been on either so my concern about the crowds in both parks was in large part the inability to get those.

Are you staying at a deluxe hotel or Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve by chance? If so, there is an extended evening hours on Wednesday the 19th for MK that you could take advantage of. If you are able to get several rides done at that time, then you may not feel so let down/overwhelmed if the 20th is more crowded, as you will have already accomplished some of your priorities.

With the backlash Disney is getting on the onride video they released, I think the Tiana crowds might not be as bad as people might fear.

AP holders, frequent visitors etc will ride it, but just because it is new. But I do not think this group will do (many) re-rides. They might think "the refurb looks meh, I will wait for the lines to come down".
