Crowds & weather in October/November?

Hello!
We have tried to ignore the 7 nights for the price of 5 Dream Maker ads for months, but now we just have to give in!

We are looking at going with our extended family and our 2 year old the week of Halloween (10/27-11/3). I'm wondering how crowded it has been in the past and if the MNSSHP is such a big draw that we'd be better off going in early November. Any suggestions? If it's not too bad, I think she would really enjoy the Halloween festivities.

In the past, we've gone around the second week in December or in the spring/early summer. So we've never had the opportunity to go in the fall and don't know quite what to expect.

We went near this time in 2002..what a great week...the crowds were minimal, we were the first to ride Space Mt., Tower of Terror, etc. The only regret I had about such short lines is that we missed much of the theming involved with the rides, especially TOT, since we went straight in...we were at the rope drops for MK and MGM which was great !!!!

We learned the first two days to change our schedule and NOT take advantage of the early entry park, but went to another...the crowds did seem less by going against the flow !!
