Paradise to the Treasure-A Polynesian/Eastern Caribbean/Spring Adventure 2025...Updated 8/10

Waffle Churro Mickey Day!
Haha! I still go back and forth with it in my brain and can't figure out which way is right!

You found one! What did the tag say?
You're supposed to post in social media or something and I'm too old to be bothered with that! :rotfl:

Knees, and everything else. I can't afford to hurt myself at this age! I can walk for miles on end though and I prefer it.

So.... Canadian warm, you're saying?
Hah! So you'd have been the one swimming?

Yeah... Can see that. Wonder how it'd be in January?
I cannot even imagine! I'm sure the air temp is quite lovely but I don't like cold water. I heat my pool if it's less than 85'!

Did you try it in BB Code?
I have been using that but when I highlight the post to color it the highlight just pops off. It's weird. I haven't tried just writing in color because I'm so used to doing it the other way.

I've had it prepared table side a couple times, but... I can take it or leave it.
Aw, table side is the best! But actually I make it at home just like that and my kids tell me mine is the best :goodvibes

Crab, I think?
🦀

Oh dear.
But... Actually a nice shot of you.
Lol! Thanks!

First, I am very sorry for your loss, losing a parent is very difficult
Thanks, Caroline 😌

I loved following along on your adventures and enjoyed learning all about the Treasure!
Thanks for letting us know all about it and your pros and cons.
I hope someday I will be cruising on the Treasure!
I hope you do get to go someday! Andi would probably love it with her random Disney Parks knowledge! She'd win all the trivia!

But I love this one more!
Me too! I like to imagine myself sitting there with a Pina Colada

Ummm, yeah, that'd be freaking annoying!!! I'd have loitered at breakfast a bit longer had I known!
I know! But sitting and relaxing on the last morning isn't really encouraged. The crew is definitely trying to get you out which I understand because they have a whole ship to get ready for the next guests!

Walking is probably better for you anyways.
Hah! So you'd have been the one swimming?
Actually… I’m not big on swimming unless it involves snorkeling or scuba diving.
I have been using that but when I highlight the post to color it the highlight just pops off. It's weird. I haven't tried just writing in color because I'm so used to doing it the other way.
Odd. I think you’re right and might need to clear your cache.

So very sorry about your Dad, Kelly. A blessing that he is no longer suffering, but keeping your family in my prayers just the same.

Way to go, Allie, doing the Castaway Cay 5K! My Mom holds down our beach chairs while I do my run, too. :) We also love the beach lunch on Castaway! I have to agree with you that CC on the last day sounds pretty rough. I'm glad you still made it to see Moana though! I definitely agree, I wouldn't want to head back early for that afternoon show--it would make way more sense to offer it on a Sea Day.

Exciting that you had a bit more magic back at WDW instead of heading home. Leaving for the airport straight from the port is seriously so depressing. Ha!

I get it too. It's a universal thing on all lines.

BACK TO THE BOARDWALK

We left Port Canaveral a little after 9 and drove under the WDW sign at 10:22 am. Just after passing under the sign we got the text that our room was ready! That was kind of surprising but also very nice so we could just drop our bags in our room and then figure out what we wanted to do.

We were in a studio on the 5th floor, Room 5050.

This room felt BIG! Especially after coming from the DCL Stateroom and Poly Duo. The one thing I wasn't crazy about (but didn't get a picture of) was the bottom of the entry door had a couple inch opening which kind of creeped me out but also let in a lot of hall light at night.

We were still trying to decide what to do this day. Allie didn't have a park ticket so that was out, and we weren't really feeling like going back to Disney Springs. We did consider going to a water park since it would have been free but the weather was just gorgeous and not really hot so we didn't feel the need to put on our suits and swim.

After dropping the bags in our room we decided to take the Skyliner over to The Riviera and have some lunch.

After the fancy food on the cruise we wanted something simple. We ended up sharing the:

Spicy Italian Sandwich
Sliced Capicola, Salami, Ham, Pepperoni, Provolone, Vegetable Giardiniera, Garlic Mayonnaise along with Parmesean-Herbed Fries...
IMG_4443.jpeg
This hit the spot even though the fries were pretty basic Disney fries with a dusting of parmesean.

Still unsure of the plan, we wandered around the Riv for a bit. It's so pretty and peaceful there.

BACK AT THE BOARDWALK

We wandered the Boardwalk for a bit, IYKYK...
IMG_4460.jpeg
and then since the day had gotten hotter we decided to hit the pool for a bit...
IMG_4466.jpeg

We sat there for a few hours enjoying our books and the last real day of relaxing.

For dinner we made a reservation at Il Mulino. I had heard so many good things about it and since it was right next door at the Swan it just made sense.

It was a gorgeous evening as we made our way over...
IMG_4478.jpeg

We arrived a little early for our reservation but we sat in the lobby and had a drink from this place while we waited. I have NO idea what Allie is drinking but it's very fakely red, isn't it??
Could be a Strawberry Daiquiri...
IMG_4480.jpeg

Before long they called us because our table was ready...
IMG_4485.jpeg

They started us off with their bread service which came with this
eggplant caponata or bruschetta that was absolutely delicious...
IMG_4486.jpegIMG_4487.jpeg

Then I got the...

Trattoria Salad
Local Farmer's Greens, Radish, Red Onions, Feta Cheese, Marcona Almonds, Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette, and Toasted Focaccia Croutons
IMG_4489.jpeg

And you'll all be surprised to see that Allie ordered...

Insalata Caprese
Buffalo Mozzarella with Beef Steak Tomatoes, Capers and Roasted Peppers
IMG_4490.jpeg

Both salads were super fresh and delicious.

For dinner we both ordered...

Penne Rigate
Penne served with our Original Il Mulino Marinara Sauce, Parmigiana, and Ricotta Cheese
IMG_4491.jpeg
So basic and delicious and didn't include meat which is just what we wanted
after all the heavier meals on the cruise.

There was one more surprise at the end of this meal.

EVENING AT THE BOARDWALK

Someone came around at the end of our meal and offered us some Lemoncello...
IMG_4493.jpeg
I'm not a big straight alcohol fan but this was delicious and really hit the spot after our meal.

I have to say, Il Mulino is amazing and I would definitely go back. I liked it even better than Trattoria al Forno which is where we were considering going before deciding on going here.
The breads, salads, pastas and sauces were all very fresh and the service was really good too.
We both give this place a 10/10.

Our last night together we just strolled and enjoyed the ambiance of the Boardwalk. I may or may not have cried because our trip was coming to an end. Allie thinks I'm crazy but honestly, we had just such a perfect trip and it's so nice being able to spend all that time with my favorite girl on the planet
IMG_4498.jpegIMG_4499.jpegIMG_4513.jpegIMG_4514.jpeg

We got some ice cream and called it a night. Allie was heading home very early the next morning which was made even earlier because it was daylight savings! We didn't know that when we made the plans but her Mears bus was picking her up at like 3am which was really 2am because we had to spring ahead! We were also worried that the Mears bus schedule would be mixed up because of the time change. Luckily it wasn't, she was picked up and got to the airport and home safely.

I had one day to myself to see my absolute favorite, the Flower and Garden Festival!

That'll be next!

I totally agree. We loved it here last year and are returning this year. I loved the Limoncello at the end and our service was fantastic!
It sounds like a nice last day of the trip with your daughter!
I’m glad you have one more day to enjoy my favorite festival as well! ❤️
