Trying to debate on going to IOA/US, but crowd size will be a deciding factor..........we are arriving on Friday this week, and will stay through next week.

Any experience with crowd levels this time of year? I really don't want to buy that Express Pass, so we'd be in the stand-by lines.

2 years ago we were there the week after Thanksgiving. Crowds were pretty small until that Friday, which was the 1st day for Macy's Parade and whobilation

We are here now.

Coming early in the morning will certainly help.

At 11:00 today, Spidey was at 40 minutes, everything else except for Pt Flyers was under 30 minutes.

At 3:00 in Universal, things were running 45 minutes to an hour.

It should be worse by Friday.

We were here last year during Thanksgiving and the crowds are definitely up.

If you don't want to buy an express pass, be here before the parks open. Crowds build during the day.

The next week is one of the busiest of the year.

Are you sure you didn't mean this week?

Friday and Saturday right after Thanksgiving are definitely busy, but I doubt that next week is that busy. This week Universal and IoA are open until 8 or 9:00 PM on the weekend. Next week they are back to non-peak closing hours of 6:00 PM. Magic Kingdom is open until Midnight this week but next week it closes at 7 and 8 PM. Also Animal Kingdom is open until 8:00 PM this week but next week is back to the regular 5:00 PM closing. It seems to me, with the (early) non-peak closing times next week, none of the parks anticipate large crowds.

Another indicator on next week is the price of express next week. It is at the lowest price next week which seems to indicate that you probably won't need them.
