We're looking at changing our vacation dates from the third week of December to the second week, specifically the 8-15.
Could someone who was there last month comment on how the crowds were that week?

Yes, it can get chilly, particularly at night, but chances are, it's still warmer there than it is back home. Especially if you're from the north like we are. Minnesotans usually like to prove our hardieness by sitting there in the 40 degree weather at 11pm at a parade in our shorts claiming to be warm. LOL don't believe us, we're cold too! Though probably not as much as a native sounterner.
Highs in the 70s are WONDERFUL. But it does get warmer and colder than that. Just be prepared or do what we do, buy warmer stuff if you need it when you get there.
