Crowds the second week of December?

We're looking at changing our vacation dates from the third week of December to the second week, specifically the 8-15.

Could someone who was there last month comment on how the crowds were that week?

We loved the second week of Dec. (Dec 8-12)! My Dh will not go back again if it is not during this time. If you have gone in the summer, Dec. is totally different. The crowds were few. The headliners had longer lines towards the middle of the day, but the morning was empty if you got to the park at opening. We easily toured three parks and saw all that we wanted and could leave by 11-12 in the afternoon to return to the hotel and relax until evening.

I've gone the first week in December and it was wonderful (didn't stay onsite though)! The weather was a little iffy, but lines were short and it wasn't crowded at all. I think since the majority of children are still in school at least until the 17th or 18th so I think crowds would be minimal.

Love that time of year to go. It's our favorite. We're going the 8th - the 17th this year. Went the same approx. time a few years ago and the crowns were oh so wonderful. We were even able to go on Splash Mountain twice without even getting out of our log. No one was waiting to get on so away we went again! The decorations for Christmas just make it even more special! Yes, it can get chilly, particularly at night, but chances are, it's still warmer there than it is back home. Especially if you're from the north like we are. Minnesotans usually like to prove our hardieness by sitting there in the 40 degree weather at 11pm at a parade in our shorts claiming to be warm. LOL don't believe us, we're cold too! Though probably not as much as a native sounterner. Highs in the 70s are WONDERFUL. But it does get warmer and colder than that. Just be prepared or do what we do, buy warmer stuff if you need it when you get there.
