Crowds thanksgiving vs Xmas

We want to take a quick 4 day trip to see the Xmas decorations does anyone know what would be better, Thanksgiving weekend or the weekend before Xmas (this year xmas is on a thursday)?

Not sure about the crowds but tend to think weekend before Christmas might be better -- most kids would get out of school that Friday, maybe not even till the next Tuesday, so it might be less crowded than Thanksgiving weekend, when everyone's out. The weekend between Christmas and New Year's will be the most crowded all year!

Another thing to consider -- the hotels and parks start putting up their Christmas decorations right around Thanksgiving but don't finish them till after, so if you wait till the weekend before Christmas, you'll get to see more. The Osborne lights are not being put up this year, however.

Now surely there is someone on these boards who has been the weekend before Xmas. I know there is definately people who have been there thanksgiving week. I am most interested in the weekend before xmas. Does anyone know when the crowds start?

We arrived on Wed. before Xmas. Very light crowd until Friday. Went to MVMCP on Friday night, and it was crowded--30 minute wait for Pooh ride. MK was crowded on Sat. but now that we've been to MK on sunday before Memorial Day, I now realize it wasn't that bad. We had an early flight out on sunday morning, but we saw noticably more people at GF when we checked out. Hope you find this helpful.

Do you remember what day xmas was that year. When you left Sun. was that before or after xmas?

Thanksgiving is crowded. The couple days before xmas and xmas week is crowded also. I think the week before is your best bet
