We will be at Disney the week after Thanksgiving. We have decided to leave a couple days earlier and spend a day at SeaWorld since we have never been. This will end up being the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Are the crowds typically as large as they would be at Disney?

Just wondering what to expect. Any experiences you have had would be helpful!

Thanks!!!

Hi,

My DBF and I went last year the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Without wanting to scare you, the only thing I can think of saying is, "BIG mistake!" :lmao:

We didn't think it would be too crowded, but it was absolutely heaving. We couldn't find anywhere to sit for lunch and couldn't get in to see any shows. We got there pretty early in the morning, and the queue to get in went all the way out on to the walkway at the front of the park. I have to rent a wheelchair as I have a back problem, and people were literally pushing me out of the way to get by.

I think we left around midday as we couldn't take anymore of it! However, like I said this was the Sunday after, not the Saturday, but I can't really see it being much different.

I guess in the end it depends on how much crowd you can cope with, if you don't mind queuing for a while, or getting to the shows upto an hour early then I guess you'll be fine. DBF and I decided on Sea World because we thought it would be quieter than the other parks such as Disney but I guess a lot of people have that idea

We also went to MK the Monday after Thanksgiving and that was even worse than Sea World, we even saw a fight break out when everyone was waiting for the fireworks to start! :scared1: In contrast we went to IOA the Tuesday after thanksgiving and EVERY ride was a walk on, it was ace :thumbsup2

Hope I haven't put too much of a downer on things! I don't mean to, I just thought I'd give you my experience because DBF and I both agreed that they were the two busiest days we spent at the parks.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Thanks! That helps so much. We may have to rethink our plans. My DH really hates crowds!

If it's a holiday weekend, all local parks are going to be super busy...just keep that in the back of your mind.
