Hi all,

We had planned a visit to SW just after labor day, in order to avoid crowds, but checking the park schedule I saw that the only night shows during that week are on Monday.

So I'm trying to weigh the advantages of going during Tuesday or Wednesday (low crowds) against going on Monday (higher crowds, longer hours).

Any advice would be much appreciated...

Regards,
Luis

There will be no night shows on Monday either. There is a Shamu One Ocean Show at 7:00 on Monday, but that will be the same show that plays in the morning/Afternoon. The last Shamu Rocks Night show of the summer season is Sunday night. There is also no night time Sealion show on Monday, the last night time sealion show of the summer season is also on Sunday.

I would go on Tuesday or Wednesday, even though the park is only open until 6:00, there won't be anyone there. You'll pretty much have the park to yourself. A helpful hint, if you go on Tuesday or Wednesday, I would recommend getting there at rope drop and doing the first dolphin show of the day (10:00am) and the first Shamu show of the day (12:00pm) The reason for this is that it the weather is still in it's summer pattern even in September and that means afternoon thunderstorms with lightning. Lightning will cancel shows. Because there are only three dolphin shows and two shamu shows that day, it's best to do the earliest shows possible so that when the storms roll in around 1:30-2:00, you will not have to worry about your show getting canceled and not being able to see the dolphin show or Shamu show during the day because there are only a few available shows to see.

KBF,

Thanks for the information and tips. I got the shows schedule from SeaWorld's mobile app, but of course it could be mistaken.

Nevertheless, discussing the matter with my boss (wife), we had already decided to go after Monday and, if needed, buy a 2nd day just before leaving the park.

Thanks again,

Luis
