Crowds late August?

I think we may try a last minute (last minute for me anyway) trip in August....specifically, 8/21-8/27. I have been pretty much every other time of year but I'm wondering what to realistically expect. I did check the "levels" but I prefer to hear from people who have been there

Check out easywdw.com - it outlines expected crowded attendance and best days to visit the parks based on what days you plan on visiting. Arriving on Labor Day and staying that week is one of the best times to go - very low park attendance. Highly recommend that time frame.

Most schools seem to start August 20th and after, so you may start to see attendance slow down during the time frame you're looking to visit.

We go the very end of August every year! The crowds thin out a lot!

We were there for a couple days at the end of August and didn't find the crowds to be too terrible. The heat is another story! We were wiped out. We've also been in October and May.

We love August! It's hotter than the 7th realm of Hell, but totally doable ~~ We do rope drop-take afternoon breaks-and stay hydrated

That is the best plan: start as early as you can, take the afternoon break, don't stop drinking WATER!
It's a favorite time for me

We're going the 26th till Labor Day and have built in RD, lunch at 12ish daily, followed by a FP ride then out of the park from 1-4.
