Never been to WDW in the summer. How do crowds compare to April? (I mean a a non-Easter week in April)

In august, they are hotter, sweatier, and i would bet smellier.

We were there last year 6th to the 28th August, and are going this year 4th to the 25th and are did not find the crowds to much.... we did make a point of arriving at the parks early and leaving at about 2pm so that we could swim and relax for the rest of the day or come back in the evening

We went in August last year and the crowds were ok managed to do lots and had a good time. we are going in August again this year :wizard:

Crowds at the beginning of August are very heavy and start to get much smaller by the third week in August. Most of the country is back to school by this time, except us Northerners.....We have until after LAbor Day. We always visit WDW late August, and it is never crowded. An excellent time to go! :sunny:

We are going in the last week in August I was hoping that was the case that most schools would be in session or at least people would not be taking vacations. I'm in NY so we don't start until after labor day. I'm assuming it's still pretty HOT at that time.......????

Close, Biloxi Blues.

Just checked room availability for the first week of August again and there still seems to be lots of availability at almost every onsite hotel!!!

Still hoping this means crowds will be light!!

This will be our third August vacation in WDW. We go after the 15th and find the crowds to be moderate. Because of the weather, it is not possible to walk the parks from opening till close the way we have in cooler seasons, but we enjoy a few hours off in the afternoon to relax in the pool or take a nap before heading out again for the evening parades or fireworks. It does rain a lot and the thunderstorms can be wicked, but it has never ruined our fun. :umbrella:
