Can someone please let me know how the crowds are for Easter weekend and the week following? We normally do disney in late Jan/early Feb but I think we may do a spring trip this go around. Thanks ahead for your input.

We go down during that timeframe every year and have a great time. The crowds will be huge, but we have noticed that it eases up later in the week. My best advice is to do your homework. Use fastpasses whenever possible, get to the parks early, and sign up for Tourguide Mike to better understand how to navigate the crowds. We started using his service two Easters ago, and the difference it made was very dramatic. Our Disney trips are now much more enjoyable and less stressed.

People will say to stay away during this break, but for many of us, school breaks are the only time that we can go. By knowing what to expect and how to handle things, you can have a great time, too!:)

We loved Easter weeks. We did the week before and week after Easter 2007, this past April. One cold day (50 degrees), one rainy day and the rest of the days were beautiful, sunny and in the 70's and 80's degrees.

I will assume you have AP's or Park Hopper option on your tickets.

Things to remember - take advantage of early AM entry to MK and have an 10:30 AM or 11 AM ADR for a late breakfast, early lunch - then get out of MK and go to EPCOT.

Do late night entry at EPCOT , AK and MGM STUIDIOS.

MK stays open till midight everynight for any tickets holders.

Do ALL of your ADR's before you go. Throw in some extra ones just in case. You can cancell and ADR 24 hours before the ADR day to be polite to other guests.

I did a 7:00 PM 50 PT in STUDIO's and also a 7:30 PM LeCellier in EPCOT
the same day. We decided upon EPCOT the day before and I cancelled my 50 PT ADR.

Use your resort pool in the afternoon - before your late afternoon - evening Park adventures.

EPCOT and STUDIO's can handle crowds.

Use FP's when ever you can.

If you would like to attend a Catholic or Protestant Easter service - they are availbale at the Contemporary resort ballroom. The times will be published for the services a few weeks before Easter.
Having an ADR for Chef Mickeys is great after attending a service at CR.
After Chef Mickeys we went to EPCOT for the afternoon of Easter.

MK is always packed during Easter after 11 AM. So you must do MK early mornings.

The Disney Florist is able to create wonderful Easter baskets with what ever you wish to have in them. Plushes, candy, flowers, Disney themed snacks.
You can have them delivered anyday of Easter weeks.

Enjoy your WDW Easter vacation :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We went during Spring Break in 2002. Easter Sunday was very, very crowded. We will never go during Spring Break again. Don't get me wrong, we still had a good time. How can you not have a good time at Disney? :) So, if that is the only time you can go, then definitely go. Like TinkOhio said, just do your homework & be prepared for the huge crowds.

just so you know, in 2008 easter is in march, we live in upstate n.y. and the schools here have the break in april so we will miss the crowds, I hope. Not sure if your schools do the same.
