Hello. We are taking our FIRST ever family vacation to Disney Sept 22-27th! My kids are 9 and 14. Girl and boy.

My question is:

How crowded is Epcot during this time of year? This is the only park we are "doing" for one day only. I hear that due to the Princess Package offered with 3 free nights when you purchase 4, this fall may have more crowds. We are trying to get the LEAST crowded because......

I FINALLY talked my DH into this vacation. He hates crowds and rides really, so he is doing this for us. Anyway, I am praying that I have picked the best time of year over another to deal with long lines. I know that Disney is Disney and will always be crowded but I just wondered what any "veteran's experiences were! Thanks so much!!!

That's the usual time of year when we go. Matter of fact, we're going Sept 18-21 this year. It's always been pretty empty in September and I don't remember there being any long lines. Quite honestly, I don't think the FTP will have too much of an impact. The only draw back of September is that the parks tend to close earlier and firework shows are usually only on weekends at MK. Also, you have some of the rides being refurbished, like BTMRR and ToT. We find the lack of crowds the biggest incentive for us to go then.

BTW, my DH was the same way, hated crowds (still does) and didn't like rides....now he's a Disney fanatic. He's actually the one to push me to get the annual WDW trip planned.

We've gone in late September several times. The weather is still nice but not terribly hot. The crowds are virtually non-existent after Labor Day. Most rides are walk ons. Its a great time to go. I also don't think the FTP will change that. Its too close to the beginning of the school year so most parents won't pull their kids out that soon. That's exactly why we don't go at that time anymore as my daughter is going into 2nd grade. It was easier when she was a pre-schooler.

We'll be there then also. Sept. 24-Oct. 1. Decided to take the kids out of school that week because, after only 2 weeks into it, we figured they wouldn't be too involved in anything yet. Still review from last year.

Sounds like there's hope for my DH!! He loves rides, but with lines and big crowds he can be worse than the kids!
