Is this a spectacularly busy day in the parks? Any idea what the crowd level is apt to be? Thanks!

It is a terribly busy time of the year. Maybe not as bad as Christmas but I hear it's a mess!

Last year it was hugely crowded. They turned people away from the parks because the parks were filled to capacity. We were there over spring/Easter break and opted to do Typhoon Lagoon Easter Sunday morning.

We did do MGM in the afternoon and it wasn't too bad (around 4 pm). It got crazy after 7 because it was an EMH night there.

The parks are unbelievably crowded on Easter. MK is definitely a 10 on a scale of 1-10. We hit AK one year and we could barely move. Other relatives went to MGM and same thing. We all just left around noon and hung out at the resort and had a great time.

we don't go on Easter anymore.....

We go every year at Easter. It is always very crowded Easter Sunday. So much so, every year we swear that we won't come back the next year (even though we always do! :rotfl: )

However, the Monday and Tuesday after aren't too bad. As long as the schools in Florida don't go on spring break...

We have gone the past two years at Easter and it is crowded, but manageable. One tip I will give you is that we counter programmed and went to Epcot on Easter Sunday (we heard that MK closed due to capacity at 1pm on Easter). Epcot was less crowded, it had a few Easter themed acgtivities (egg hunt, tea party with Alice) and IMHO it has a more laid back vibe. Enjoy your trip!

Never again at Easter for us...WAAAY too crowded Easter weekend but sometimes not so bad the week before. I am always thankful when our school system has their spring break during a week that does NOT include Easter (like this year when the break is the last week of March).

I have heard that Easter is THE most busiest day in MK (Even more than Xmas)
However, if you go planning that it will be crowded and understand that you'll just have to deal with it you can have a great time (i.e. you may have to take 2 days to see everything you want to see in MK- but then again what's your rush right? ;) )

Interesting to hear, since we are going for Easter because our son's high school band is marching in the MK that day. We were figuring on church, then breakfast at Kona's, then hoping over. Better plan on eating in the park instead.

We avoid the MK on Easter Sunday and opt instead for a late buffet breakfast and then hanging poolside at Stormalong Bay at the BC. In the late afternoon/evening, we walk over to EPCOT for awhile.

It's crowded, but if you go with a plan, it's doable. I'll be there again this year, because the weather is GREAT!
