Crowds during November

We'll be there Nov 4th-9th! We usually go in October so I am curious how it will compare crowd & weather wise. I know it's Jersey week plus a bunch of other stuff is happening, but we are leaving before the weekend so hoping to miss some of it. Fingers crossed for sun, short lines & happy people!

I'm with you! We'll be there Nov 4th - 11th and are going to the parks Mon-Fri.

It depends on the year but this year the first week in Nov looks like it will be REALLY crowded. The schools that start back after Labor Day have a few days off for the quarter break, Jersey Week, many schools have election day off, etc etc. It's always a crowded week but this year seems much more. The week after which also has a Fed Holiday I think will be lighter than normal because of the first week busyness. We like Nov because the weather is usually decent but crowds are an issue luckily we go enough that we can live without doing everything.

Really hope they won't be too crowded. The crowd calanders I looked at didn't look too bad except for MK on Thurs...but we're going to risk that to see the Electrical Parade. I was aware of Jersey Week but thought it started later in that week so hoped we would avoid the worst of it. Had NO idea schools would have election day off...never heard of that before. Well, I guess we'll see in ELEVEN DAYS! So EXCITED!

We will be there the 12th through 16th also. Hoping it won't be too bad.

I would expect the crowds to be busy starting 11/6 but mostly clear out on 11/11. The week of the 11th is a GREAT time to visit, the crowd levels are low and the weather is usually fantastic.

Many of our school districts here in Kentucky have the 5th and 6th off for Election so there will be some families from here going. We are going the 11th through 18th and hitting the parks during the week. Hopefully it will not be very busy when we are there.

I'm interested to see if that holds especially with a few park hour increases. Last year about 3 days out touring plans went from 4s to 8-9 every day. Made it really hard to switch plans at that point to try and get more room drops. Not sure how they are factoring in election day since its every 4 years but I remember the last election day week being crazy but we weren't the prs then we are now either

Had I known all the events planned, I would have changed my trip after the
Nov. 11th. All is bought, booked and paid for, but with the several events the weekend in particular - it will be crowded and hoping for the best. Following touring plans, doing rope drops, and planning to go back to parks later in evening after crowds thin out.

LOL... our original dates were the 11-17th as well but we also couldn't resist adding that extra day! Now we are the 10th-17th too! I think the first weekend might be crowded but after Monday I think it should be very nice!

We will be there from 11/10-11/18. We have been several times during this week and found it to be a good time. Certainly not empty, but usually short or at least reasonable lines except for the most popular attractions. Of course we booked this trip long before the FLE previews were announced. I now fear that with the AP previews taking place every day of our trip, not only will we have no chance to see the FLE , but all of MK will be packed everyday with lots of people who wouldn't have been there otherwise .

I'm afraid that the massively extended hours from the 1st thru the 15th are an indication that they expect larger crowds, especially with AP holders previews.

28-30 crowds subsiding but not light due to increased awareness of this week being historically lower crowds.

We ended up booking 10-19. We are staying away from MK on weekends, heres our schedule.

Our schedule is virtually the same as yours, except Mon. we will be at EP for the last day of food and wine and we will be at MK on your resort day. We usually take long breaks in the afternoons to do resort things, so the boys like to spend the rest of the time in the parks. I am sure we will all have an amazing time regardless of the crowds.

Not all Jersey schools have off the entire week. I'm in jersey and our kids only have off the Thu/Fri (8th and 9th). I think all Jersey is off on Thu/Fri for Teacher Conventions, but not everyone is off all week. We are going that week next year, I'm hoping the crowds aren't too bad.

So I was originally thinking AK on the Tuesday & MK on the Thursday cause of the previous hours, but now with the change...I wonder if I should switch those days? I think MK is going to be getting really busy as the weekend approaches. Anybody thoughts?

fyi...we don't have hoppers & will be doing Epcot the Sun & Wed with HS on Monday for the evening EMH.

How reliable/good is the UT crowd calendar predicitions? My new plan seems to fall in better with their recommendations, but should that make me nervous if many people will follow their idea or do not many people pay attention to that?

We're in VA and our schools are always closed for election day because they are used as election sites. Typically, school in closed the Monday before election day for a teacher work day as well. Since we don't have an official "fall break", many people (myself included) take a vacation during this week since the kids will only miss 3 days of school.

We'll be there from Nov. 4th-Nov. 11th. I'm hoping the crowds won't be terrible, but we've been in the summer and over some other holiday weekends and the crowds have never made it less fun. Just happy to be going to Disney soon, soon, soon!!!!

But.. Because of the Teachers convention closing, some NJ schools do tack on a few extra days, and most parents (like myself) opt to take thier kids out during this week. Veteran's Day is only being observed on Monday the 12th basically for Government offices and such. Veteran's Day is actually the 11th. Many school districts around the country do not get Veteran's Day off. My kids have never had Veteran's Day off even when attending a DOD school. Every district they have attended has had a high military presence since we have either lived on post or just outside of post.

I forgot that one of our school districts is also out on November 2nd so families will be leaving earlier to head to Disney. We are waiting a week and heading down.

These are the exact days we will be there! I'm hoping too the crowds aren't too bad either...but either way...we'll be at DISNEY!

Awww man! We're going ultra casual. I do even know of we've really nailed down which parks for what day. I just don't like a lot of people crowding me when I walk.
