My daughter and I went to WDW from Dec 18th to the 23rd. We usually go to the early entry park but this time after reading posts on this board and following advice in various guide books we avoided them. We had what I would consider a good crowd level. Between using fast pass and arriving right before park opening we were able to see everything we wanted to with minimum wait times.
We didn't stick rigidly to a "plan" but we did have a plan that we loosely followed and that involved going to the park that was extra hrs the day before and hitting the more popular rides first.
Crowd levels for MK were huge during Wishes and Spectro but at MGM, EPCOT and AK and at other times at MK we felt they were good levels for touring. There were even a couple of times that as we walked through an area of a park that it reminded me of touring 10 years ago during January.
I have posted a longer trip report on that board.
