How crowded will these days be? We just got back (Nov 29- Dec 7) and are planning another trip for next December. If we wait and go those days, the kids wouldn't miss any school and we'd still hit value season. Our other option is Dec 5- 10, but that is in the middle of Pop Warner. Any opinions?

Thanks!

We've always gone the beginning of December but this year decided to try those same dates you're asking about since dd has off from school the whole week before Xmas. Will let you know:) Stay tuned. I will probably post while we are there.

We are going during this time this year...same reason as above, kids out of school. Will let you know how it goes!

I am going on the 15th so I will try to post how the crowds are going. I called to modify my reservation and the women I spoke to said that it is more crowded than expected this year for the holidays. Not exactly what I wanted to hear! Hopefully it will not be too bad. Hope everyone has a great time!

Jwfla22 I can't believe how grown up your DD looks! She is beautiful, hope you are doing well!

We are going Dec. 15 - 18 and staying at Poly, where I know concierge is sold out during our stay - tried to switch to concierge, that's how I found out! I will report back as well on crowd levels. I went in December 9 years ago and my boyfriend and I wandered around World Showcase basically by ourselves one morning. The characters who were walking around were coming up to us to get pictures taken - it was so much fun!! We'll see!!

Thanks for keeping me posted. I'd really appreciate it. I think it would be better too as my kids have slept almost 16 hours the past 2 days catching up from Disney, and if we go early they'd have to go right back to school and 7am bus pick up!

Hope you all have a fabulous time. We had a spectacular time last week. Just awesome.

We are going 18-23rd and hoping it isn't too crowded. We are staying in the Main Building of the GF, so if it is too crowded I guess we will just enjoy the resort. I have been reading about your past stay at Sugar Loaf and it has made me very excited and happy about our pick to stay at the GF. I'll definitely let you know how busy it was when we get back.

Will post a reply as soon as we get back. I think it'll depend on how many schools get out for the full week vs. 1/2 week. Of course, visiting the parks on the "best days" is a key factor.

We are also heading to WDW later this week.... so we will report back.

I am expecting high crowds Both MVMCP's on the 18th and 20th are sold out... We will arrive early and use FP... and try and focus on the Holiday stuff more than the rides.

In the past the days after the middle of the month were definitely more crowded than those preceding, however this year all previous standards for crowds has not held true to past years. So who knows. :confused3

A lot of factors will play into whether next early Dec. will be as crowded as this year. Will there be alot of people who do not go during hurricane season, probably so, as this summer is suppose to be very active again.

Also it will depend of whether Disney offers any special packages and discounts to lure those that had not planned to come then.

So it is very hard to predict.

We are leaving Friday and staying til Wed. the 21st! MVMCP is now sold out for the 16th so I think it will be crowded! We went from the 17th til the 22nd 2 years ago and while the first day wasn't crowded, with each successive day the crowds got larger. On the 22nd,our last day, it was where you couldn't move in the MK, as bad or worse than Easter/ Spring Break! The good news is that we are usually so sad leaving Disney but that time we were ready to go home. Our trip really put us in the holiday spirit but we were ready to go home and enjoy that spirit with family on Christmas! We know what to expect this trip so I think that is half the battle! We are going with the mindset that it will be a relaxing trip. That is why we are splurging for GF concierge. I also think you can get alot done at MVMCP! I'll let you know when we get back!

I am taking my 12 yr. old twins this year from 15th -22nd they will be missiing school but return on 23rd so they can get their missed work and do it over xmas holidays iwill post to let you know what it is like this year.

I'd expect it to be busy - it has been busy this month already, and I don't anticipate it getting any better. I'll be stopping by Disney on Wednesday for a few hours, and expect Downtown Disney and the parks to be pretty crowded.

We were there around the same time last year (18-23rd) and didn't think it was too bad. Of course we've only ever been to WDW in the summer and that seems to be a busy time. Anyway, we used fast pass as much as possible and never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Nothing like the week after Christmas! Have a great time! I wish it was me!!
