Crowds at End of October

We're planning a trip arriving on 10/29/17 and staying 6 nights. We probably won't attend the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party but definitely want to see the Halloween decorations at Magic Kingdom. Does anyone have any idea what crowds to expect? I'm sure it will be crowded and want to visit MK at least once before decorations are taken down. Thanks!

Crowded, I've been in Orlando the last three Octobers and it continues to get more and more busy. That's not to say with smart touring everything is doable. Rope drop, and avoiding extra magic hours seems to work for me. If you can, try the Halloween party as well, it's a great time. If we do a party we take a day off of our tickets since you can get in at 4 anyways.

Average crowds. Went last week of October last year and definitely not dead, but by no means packed. There were several MNSSHP nights that week so MK was absolutely packed on non-party days. Food & Wine at Epcot was great and didn't wait more than 5 minutes at the booths (my stay didn't include Friday or Saturday).

Thank you for your help! I think it might work out best if we can get MNSSHP tickets for one night to avoid the crowds and maybe take a day off our tickets like Sugart suggested. We could use that as our Universal day possibly as we don't plan to stay all day there or just hang out at the pool and relax. I'll be watching the Disney website for when the MNSSHP tickets become available.

And honestly there is fall decor and pumpkins, not much Halloween during day. At party time they add other decorations so you wouldn't see them unless you go to party. And with smoke and lighting at party time that is when the park really changes. Last party will mean decor is all gone.

Edited: Party dates will be able to be guessed when Oct hours come out.

But afterwards, MK literally changes overnight! You will get to see both.

I was told by a friend that it is smart to go to park morning of the party day because not a lot of ppl will "waste" a ticket for only a 9-7 day so the park is slower. But you won't see fireworks unless you get the MNSSHP ticket that day. However it is fun to watch fireworks on the beach at grand Floridian.

Predicted dates are - 27, 28, 30 and 31.

Where did you see those predicted dates? Everything I have read has predicted 27, 29, and 31.

You are correct I was reading 2017 article but they had put in 2016 dates. I have seen where KTP has guessed at some dates but none others I have found are willing to predict.

As many parties that have been selling out, especially in October, I would not be surprised to see one on the 30th also.
