I think PP misspoke (mistyped?), they go up right after Halloween (in fact they start before Oct. 31. The Christmas season with the parade and fireworks and all that starts mid-November.

My guess is closer to January 7th. Most schools will be back in session right after the New Year.
December 26th is right in the middle of Christmas crowd.

Just a heads up, many schools are doing Dec 22-Jan 12. Our area goes back AFTER Star Wars Light Side.

Christmas decor is in full mode in the parks for Veteran's Day weekend in DL and DCA. The hotels overlay can take a bit longer.
