Crowded pools with saved seats

Just towels and pretty clear person is not around? I would definitely move them. If that person was in the pool, they'd show up quickly to see what was up, and I'd apologize and move.

And I get so frustrated with families that save a lounge chair for each human, when they know only the 2 adults are ever going to sit down, or even when all they need is a place to put their t-shirts and cover-ups. I sit in one lounge chair. My kids can sit on the end of it when they need to sit down, or they can sit on a towel on the ground. Our stuff can go in a bag that sits on the ground. Leave the lounge chairs for people who are going to lounge.

I move hotel towels if there are no personal belongings, and I've never had anyone approach me about it.

The only resort where I've had an experience of not being able to find a single chair was WL during a summer afternoon a few years ago. It was so hot that everyone seemed to decide to spend the day by the pool! Many people were actually leaving their towels and coverups on the rocks by the stream.

More often, we have trouble finding two chairs together in the afternoons. I don't like that either, but we make do. It's easier at values if you go to the smaller pools, but of course those aren't as much fun and don't have a pool bar!

Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we witnessed a fist fight! Break out at SAB over saved pool chairs! As you can imagine, there was not a chair to be had. The place was packed! There was a dad saving 8 chairs around him. Trouble is, he was saving them for over an hour. 1 family who kept coming back to the chaos finally just sat down in them. And the fight broke out.....It was a sad situation....

We have never had that problem at Pop Century. It's one of the "perks" of staying at a value resort! lol

I would hope that someone was asked to leave the pool for that, or even the resort? What was the outcome?

Agree ::yes::. Stayed at All Stars and never had a problem getting a bed around the main pool, Also stayed at Port Orleans and plenty of beds around the quiet pool.

I will also move towels if there is a lack of chairs and there are no personal items on that seat.

But this thread actually reminded me of something I saw in December on a Disney cruise. About a half hour before, I went To deck 12 to find a space to stand at the rail and look down at the stage and watch the late pirate deck party with Jack Sparrow. A large woman was actually LAYING on the floor with her legs splayed and arm above her head holding the closest railing so that she was "saving" floorspace at the railing for about 4-5 people! o_O It was the strangest way I have seen to save space on a ship, although it irritated me too because I wanted to stand there!
