How are the crowds the second week of September (after Labor Day)? Is that considered "value season"?

We go the week after labor day every year because it is undoubtedly the best for low crowds.....so, stay away and leave it for us ;) :rotfl2: ...no just kidding. There is no comparison of this week to any summer week. Also, WDW usually offers great Sept deals such as the free dining it offered in 2005 and reduced resort rates in 2004/2003. If you have kids, most schools will not count them absent if you go to Epcot and/or Animal Kingdom. Many states have credits for educational travel, etc. With the holiday, mine missed 4 days of school but was only counted absent for 2.

BTW, just watch out for hurricanes!!

We went Labour Day weekend last year and had a fantastic time. The crowds were low, the weather was great, so much better than 4th of July (don't ask).

We always have gone in Sept. We have gone the first and second week and it's wonderful! I am almost tempted to change our next trip from early Dec to Sept just because I know the crowds are soooooooooooooooooo low in Sept. I'll take the rain and heat over crowds any day.

we went the Fri after Labor Day, I think it was the 9th this yr, and the following wk. It was great! No crowds at all until MK the following Sat, the 17th. Every ride was a walk on or less then 10 min wait. No rain at all! We didnt need to do any morning EMH's. We did do the night ones and they were great also, less people then there were during the day. Only problem was night EMH at AK, they had almost nothing open! Guess they open more rides and have more extra shows during the more crowded times, but that night the cm's were turning people away at the gates, telling them not to waste a ticket if they didn't have AP's or length of stay tickets.

I could have written MommyPoppins' post. We love going in September. One year we went the day after Labor Day, and we had done almost every single ride in the Magic Kingdom and were DONE with the park by 12:15pm. Everything was a walk-on!

We love September! Like everyone said, low crowds and alsmost no rain! This year, we went September 24th - 30th. It was great and we got to go to MNSSHP.

I was at WDW Sept. 11-19 this past year and most of the rides were walk-ons. I had reservations for sit-down restaurants, but the crowds were such that I could walk in to Le Cellier without a reservation and be seated immediately. It was a great time to be at WDW.

All of the above is true but it can be VERY hot. That may not be an issue for you but it kept us inside a lot.
