Phoenix AZ schools: Our spring break is the middle week of March (just finishing up right now) and will be March 14 week in 2011.

I didn't realize until I saw a couple of these threads today how LATE Easter falls next year! I think we will still go in October instead of April next year, but this definitely makes it look more tempting ...

I'm in MN and it goes by district. There is not a Spring Break that is followed throughout the state.

That being said, our district has it's break the week of March 7.

ETA: We don't revolve around Easter either. .

This week is pretty much what we've had for the past 4-5 years. For us, I know they try to balance out the length of the quarters and have tried to plug spring break in where it doesn't have a week-long break right in the middle.

Oops, didn't realize this poll was for NEXT year, and voted for this year.

My city is freakishly having "Spring" break for two weeks in FEBRUARY next year.

Cincy area: We are moving Spring Break to the last week in March from now on.

I've decided Disney is probably going to LOVE this late Easter date.

The spring break crowds being disbursed throughout several weeks is probably very helpful for them.

Absolutely. I would assmume it to be significantly busy from mid February through early May!

Our spring break is always the first full week of April as some others; not dependent on Easter so April 4-8 next year. We will be heading down to Orlando as we too stay away when our spring break falls around Easter as it does this year.:guilty: April is our most favorite time to go to Florida as we've always had incredible weather, warm enough to swim, sunny but not too hot and humid. Just perfect:thumbsup2

Another Massachusetts girl here. Our break is always the third week in April, coinciding with "Patriot's Day." We have been planning a big trip with extended family for that week but I am getting skittish that the crowds will be huge with Easter at the end of our week.

Typically the schools in our district are off the second week of April. However, not sure what is going to happen next year. I called to find out for sure because they have not issued the calendar for 2010-2011 yet and was told that they have not figured out the dates yet due to a reconfiguration they are trying to implement :scared1: They better get their act together before May when my 11 month window opens

We have April vacation April 18-22, along with February vacation which is ALWAYS President's Week. Rather than a single "Spring Break".

I have to kind of laugh, I have seen so many posts about people having break a different week than we do in April and thinking hmmm... maybe we should've gone this year... yet on this poll it is the #1 choice so far :)

Many of our public schools are tied to Easter. We get the week leading up to Easter and Easter Monday regardless of the date.

We have a winter break the week of Presidents Week (February 21st).

For the first time ever instead of being off on Good Friday and the week after Easter -- we will have Spring Break the week of April 18th.

:cool1:

I'm in NW Ohio and our district is going 4/4 since Easter is so late and state testing is the 3rd week of April(district likes the kids to be back in school a full week before testing).

I will not be at WDW, but at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

I am from NW ohio as well and yep, we will be on spring break April 4-8. My oldest will be in Kindergarten so going to try and decide to go that week or later in the season and just take him out of school.

I have been looking for next year's school calendar to try and plan a trip to WDW. Our spring break has always been the last week of March which usually includes a few days in April and again, it is the same in 2011. That being said now I need to decide whether I should attempt to plan a vacation for that time period or go in February during our President's Day break (I would have to pull my son out of school for a few days). Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

Our school's Spring Break is always the first full week of April regardless of Easter. My DS and his marching band will be marching before the afternoon parade at MK next year during Spring Break. We can't wait to go and watch them. My older DS went with his band in 2007 and we had a blast!

Great idea starting this thread! Our Spring break is always the last week in April, and we'll be smack in the middle of Easter next year. I've heard the last few weeks on the dis that many states have their spring break whenever Easter falls....I hope lots of people take the time to vote! :thumbsup2

We're on a multi-track year round schedule...so there's always one track coming in or going out every 3 weeks, pretty much all year round (Chirstmas, Thanksgiving and 4th of July are the only times all tracks are out at the same time). Many of the schools in our area are on a similar schedule, but not in our state.

Our track will be out the last week in Jan/1st 2 weeks of Feb., then again the last week in April/1st 2 weeks of May.

We get "two" Spring Breaks, being from New Orleans, LA we have our Mardi Gras Break the week of Mardi Gras, then one that is titled "Spring Break" but it's more like Easter break as it always starts on Good Friday and lasts the next week after Easter.
