Crowd levels 5/13-21

Just back & crowds were probably under a 5 each day.
Longest line was 75 minutes for Soarin(loved it-used fastpass) on sunday.
Otherwise the longest waits werent more than 25 minutes for any of
the mountains, rapids, safari-etc.
I was a pleasant surprise since the #'s that week were changed to 8's.
Had a great time-very warm though....

We just got back & were pleasantly surprised by the crowds. Using fastpass & good planning, we never waiting more than 10 min for anything. I even got into Crystal Palace without a PS for dinner at 6:00 & only had to wait 20 min. It was wonderful!!!!!!!

I was also there from 5/13-5/22 and found the crowd levels not bad at all. We did everything we wanted at each park and did not have to wait very long. We rode Buzz Lightyear twice within 30 minutes without fastpass and that was on Saturday the 21st around 10:30 AM. I finally got the top score of 999,999 and I had that before we were half way thru the ride. DD12 was amazed and wanted to ride over and over so she could try to get that score too.

Of course parade time at MK gets very congested but grab your seat early and your all set.

I hope everyone going soon has as much fun as we did.

Have "unofficial" crowd numbers been posted on these boards for the May 10-20 (when I was there) time frame? I would have thought that 8 (on a scale of 10) would be too crowded to get into Crystal Palace without a PS with less than an hour's wait.

I would call it a "2 on a scale of 3" crowd when (as was the case then) most of the rides had waits under half an hour with a few (including Peter Pan and Soaring) that went up to a whole hour at times during the day.

Just back as well and Ditto what the OP said.

We were there 5/13 - 5/20 staying at CR. Was able to upgrade to a tower room at check in despite hotels being "sold out".

Longest waits we saw were Soarin' at 65 minutes on 5/14 around 2pm and Peter Pan in the afternoons was 40 minutes.

Splash standby was never more than 35 - 40 minutes.

We saw standby lines posted as 25 minutes and we walked right on.

We DID have a problem making a dinner PS on 5/14 and couldn't get anything at MK, Poly or CR before 8pm. We did MGM on Monday, 5/16 and lunch at Sci Fi was booked solid - they weren't taking walk in's until after 2:30pm (we had a 12:10 PS). The lines were not long that day at MGM - DH & DD waited 10 minutes for Star Tours.

We were there 5/19-5/22. Thought MK was virtually empty when we were there on Thursday. Did all of Adventureland and Frontierland within 2 hours--starting at 2PM! It was fabulous. MGM was kind of busy on Friday, but it was the first day of SWW, so I think that accounted for the extreme mayhem, but if you stayed away from the Star Tours area (where there were two-hour long queues for limited edition merchandise), it was reasonable. TT and RnR had standby waits of 30 minutes in the late afternoon. Epcot was busier than I'm used to seeing, too, but I think it's probably attributable to Soarin' and the Flower & garden festival (which was fabulous, by the way. I"d never been and I loved all the character topiaries and vibrant colors). So, overall it was busier than the past few times I've visited but those were in value season. Definitely do-able.

I also agree with the OP, the crowds were awesome! The highest wait time we saw was for Soarin on Thursday night (5-19) which was 75 min. Pretty much everything else was either walk on or 5-10 min wait the whole week. We did usually get a fastpass for Splash Mountain, it never seemed to get under 30 min everytime we wanted to go on it. And our kids are not the type that handle waiting in line for very long

I was also there May 13-May 22nd and agree with the OP. Either the crowds were less than when I was there in January or else I used fast pass more wisely as it seemed I never waited more than about ten minutes for any ride. I usually grabbed a snack and got a good seat for the parades early, but I was usually tired by that time and needed a sit down break. I had alot of PS and kept all but one (Bomas), but I don't think I really needed them. Crowds were great. I spent two nights at POP, then five nights at BWV, then a final two nights at POP. When I checked out of POP the first time I was so pleased with my room that I went by check in and asked what my chances were of getting back in the same general area when I returned in five days and the CM said she would see what she could do about blocking the same room off for me. When I returned five days later the CM told me they were at 100%, but she would see what she could do. When she checked I had already been assigned the exact same room I had had five days before. It was awesome. At BWV I made a point at check in of saying I really did not want a handicapped room and the CM said he would see what he could do. I had been booked for a water/courtyard view, but when I got to my room it was an awesome boardwalk view on the top floor and only three rooms down from the elevator with a fantastic view of the right side of boardwalk, the boat ramp, back door of Boardwalk resort, and Spaceship Earth in the distance. The resorts didn't seem crowded and neither did the buses, but due to PS and tours I usually took an early character dining bus in the mornings.
