Crowd level the week after Labor Day?

NOAA just revised their forecast to higher probability and intensity of hurricanes.

I've always found these kinds of predictions worthless. They should concentrate on just getting the next 2-3 days right, anything beyond just stirs up unfounded worry.

Ah. Yeah but just because the hurricane season might be more intense doesn't mean that we're (I'm going the same week) gonna get hit that week. I wouldn't worry, at least for now.

Perhaps, but the above normal increase in ocean surface temperatures is not conjecture; that is the fuel which feeds hurricanes.

There are countless other variables in play, so using just one to draw conclusions is a tenuous exercise at best. I'll worry about the next couple of days, y'all can have the rest.

The best thing that can happen is they predict a hurricane to hit and then it doesn't - everyone cancels their trips and the parks are empty! I think that happened a couple of years ago in late August.
