Ok, so I'm now 69 days out till my trippy woohooo:cool1:

But my thoughts are now shifting towards keeping my fitness programme up while I am away. Do any of the Orlando regulars know of any gyms/fitness classes I could just pop along to every couple of days while I am there?

I typically do 2 crossfit classes per week and 5 gym sessions so I would hopefully be able to do my 2 classes each week I'm there, and then I'll make my Disney walking my gym workouts ;)

Hope someone can help me

Thanks!

Kirst

Im staying at POR so not sure if I am able to use any of those gyms? However, looking at what they have they certainly have the stuff I need.

I am planning running the running trail around POR but its quite short ( I tend to run around 10miles when training) so a treadmill is a must!

You can use the spa at SSR even if you aren't staying there so I imagine it'll be the same with the gym. In fact I think the gym just counts as part of the spa.

I'm not certain but I think it's free to resort guests and others can pay to use the facilities.

As with everything I think it just comes down to the old $$$.

As far as I know Disney gyms don't offer classes.
Will you have a car? If so Lifestyle has 2 or 3 local gyms. We use them when in FL and they are really great gyms and have a ton of classes although crossfit I don't remember seeing. They have Zumba, spin etc. Have in mind travel time and at least an hours work out, changing time etc and going to the gym can take out a morning each day you go. SSR is absolutely going to be better time wise if you just want a gym.
If you want to run 10 miles there are routes you can do rather than treadmill. For example over to DTD, out to the crossroads and up the CR535. The wonderful thing about FL running is the flatness. No hills! The not so wonderful thing is the weather. I look like I've jumped in a lake whether it's down to storms and/or humidity :lmao:

Unfortunately, only guests at the resort can use the fitness centre at that resort so the OP wouldn't be able to use the facilities at SSR. There is a $12 a day charge for using the fitness centres if you are nto staying at the resort where the fitness centre is located.
