Cross your heart we're going! Cross it!An Unexpected April Adventure! TR Started!!!!

I'm glad you got a PIN code no matter how it arrived! Enogugh people have gotten them after saving ressies that it seems to work, I know I did it for DL recently and have gotten a couple as a result (or at least I assume so). So that's very very cool!

With 2 park days and one WP/DQ day wouldn't that be a 3 day ticket? :confused3

What time do you leave on your last day? I can relate, you don't want to be stressed about leaving late and for me it would really depend on how much that extra day would cost to add to the ticket versus the cost of mini golf or whatever!

Congrats on 15 years!:thumbsup2
Thanks!!!:goodvibes
Yay for 75 days! That is so cool you are celebrating your anniversary too. Make sure you pick up some of the free anniversary buttons! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see the F&GF pics.

Can't wait!! April can't get here fast enough!! I'm sooooo tired of snow!! UGH!!:sad2:

I know...can't forget the anniversary buttons!! YAY!!!:yay:

Woo-Hoo! Only 75 Days!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

And a very happy 15th Anniversary to you and your hubby! Jeff and I will celebrate 18 this August. What a blessing to have such a long and happy marriage...especially by today's standards! And with us Disney freaks no less! ;)

Can't wait to see what you decide for countdown calendars...I'm sure they'll be adorable!

Oh...and we have snow today...how about you?

Hey Missy!

Yes, it snowed today!! I knew it would be back!;) I'm not sure I'm so happy about that....but Nick is! He has a class field trip next week to go skiing!! He's very excited!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes!!:goodvibes Congrats on 18 years!! That's wonderful!:)

From what I understand when you purchase a 2 day park ticket with the waterpark and more feature added on. It gives us two additional visits to one of the minor parks, such as TL, BB, DQ, or Disney's Wide World of Sports. They don't have to be used on your regular park days as long as they are used within the 14 day period. Since we have decided to do our WP/DQ on the same day it just means that we are using both of our "extra visits" together or on the same day instead of on different days.:)

Let's see...our plane leaves Orlando at 6:30 pm...and 3 hours back for DME. So, we would have to be back at Pop around 3:00pm at the very latest. I priced the cost of mini golf the other day and including the voucher that we get with our MYW tickets, it would be around $35 for all 4 of us. However, to add another park day it would cost us around $250 more. A big difference in price! Of course, it makes me really sad that we are going to miss 2 parks this time, especially since we missed DHS in August. It's just hard to justify that much more for about 4-5 hours in the park.:confused3

Good morning!!:goodvibes Well, I'm sitting here watching the snow fall outside and trying to stay warm. I thought it would be a perfect time to tell you or show you actually "Why we love being at Disney while the F&G Festival is going on. Up Next--ADR Update and the food!!!

I absolutely LOVE Epcot during the Flower & Garden Festival. I was so excited when I booked our vacation for May/June, 2010 because I thought we would catch the tail end of the festival. You can imagine how disappointed I was when they announced that it would end mid-May. I really wanted my mother to see how beautiful Epcot was during the festival.

Your pictures are so pretty.

I :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc the F&G Festival!! Thanks for sharing your pictures - it's snowing here too so it's a GREAT day to get excited for warm weather & beautiful gardens!

Add me to those that are spoiled by the Flower and Garden Festival! You're so lucky to be going back when it's going on. :thumbsup2

More snow here today too..UGH!

Love all of your Flower & Garden pictures. One day we will get there for it!

Ahhhh, love all your pictures! We were there in '08 as well (and a few other times but that was before I even knew it was called the F&GF...I just thought there were a bunch of topiaries all over :rotfl:). Can't wait to be there again this year. I'm excited for the Pixie Hollow garden! There was an article in the Disney Insider email about that. :thumbsup2

Hi Angie!! I'm loving you PTR so far!! Happy Anniversary!!

I love your countdown!! I've lost all but about 20 of my Mickey Heads so I can't start mine yet, lol.

Love Flower and Garden Festival! We'll be there right at the start!

Wow, I didn't know that, that is good to know. So theoretically if we do a water park I could probably shave a day off of my tickets....

hmmmnnn

I can't decide which one I love the best.... Donald and Daisy playing volleyball or Cinderella dancing with the Prince! They are ALL beautiful. I'm getting ahead of myself again but after this December trip, I really really want to go back when Fantasyland is done during the F&G Festival.

Thank you for posting them! :lovestruc It snowed here today too so this was perfect to cap off my night!

Hi Lisa!!:goodvibes

Ahh...that's too bad that they are ending it mid-may.:sad2: I'm sure your mother would have loved seeing all the flowers. I'm hoping to bring my mom back for the F&G festival in a few years. She loves gardening and the flower and garden pictures are always the first ones she wants to see when we get back from our trips.;)

Love the F&G Festival!! So happy to be going back!!:goodvibes

UGH!! It was snowy, windy and cold today! They say it's supposed to drop below zero tonight....brrrr....The boys are hoping it continues so they have a snow day tomorrow....me, not so much.:rolleyes1
Love all of your Flower & Garden pictures. One day we will get there for it!

Ahh...that's so funny about thinking that they just put a bunch of topiaries on display. I'm so excited to see the Pixie Hollow garden too!! Can't wait. Hey...I get those emails and I don't remember that one. I'll have to go back and find it.:thumbsup2

:welcome: I'm so happy you joined in!!:goodvibes Ahh...thanks for the anniversary wishes!! We love the F&G Festival!!!:lovestruc (as I'm sure you can tell:laughing:) I see you have a PTR going...I'm on my way to check it out.:)
Wow, I didn't know that, that is good to know. So theoretically if we do a water park I could probably shave a day off of my tickets....

hmmmnnn

Exactly......Would you just be doing one water park? I think admission to one water park is around $42 adult and $35 for kids for one day. But, adding the water park and more option is around $53 dollars and it gives you the same amount of days as your base MYW ticket. 7 days = 7 extra WP&M entries. A great deal...but if you are only planning one day then I would probably stick with just the one day ticket.:)

I can't decide which one I love the best.... Donald and Daisy playing volleyball or Cinderella dancing with the Prince! They are ALL beautiful. I'm getting ahead of myself again but after this December trip, I really really want to go back when Fantasyland is done during the F&G Festival.

Hi Tracy!!

Ahh...I know it's so hard to decide.:goodvibes I think Cinderella dancing with the Prince is probably my favorite. You should really try and go....the pictures don't do it justice. There is just so much to see!!

I'm so excited to see Fantasyland when it's all done. When are they supposed to start? I can't remember? :confused3

Glad I was able to bring a little flowers and sunshine to your day.;)

I'm so excited to see Fantasyland when it's all done. When are they supposed to start? I can't remember? :confused3

I don't know when its going to start actually. I've been wondering if it will be closed off when we go -- that would not be good :sad2: but I guess it seems likely. Fantasyland is Ariana's favorite place in the entire world.

Hmmm....I was reading an article today that said that construction was supposed to start sometime this year and that the existing Fantasyland would not be affected during the expansion and all the rides are supposed to stay open. Good news!!:thumbsup2 The only thing that's moving is Dumbo.... but it didn't say when? :confused3 It's only Toontown that would probably be closed off.

Ahhh...I can tell from all your wonderful pictures that Fantasyland is Ariana's favorite place.:goodvibes She's going to love:lovestruc the new Fantasyland with all the new princess stuff!:goodvibes

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! We celebrated DH and Lee(my brother's) birthday! It was a fun weekend but very cold!!! Brrr...it went below zero Friday and Saturday. I felt like Linus all weekend carrying a big warm blanket around with me. But it worked...well that along with some hot cocoa here and there.:thumbsup2

So before I start my update I thought it might be fun to start playing some Disney trivia! I know there is a lot of Disney experts out there....so I thought what a better way to pass the time until April, in additional to all my planning. (which of course you know I love to do)...but you may not know that I LOVE playing trivia/board games etc.as well. So I thought...why not combine two!! We'll see how it goes.....

This week I decided to do...."Guess this movie quote" ;)

"This much I knew. If you are what you eat, then I only wanna eat the good stuff."

So...what movie is it from and who said it?

ADR Update and the Food!!!

This is definitely one of my favorite things to plan when it comes to Disney and I must admit-- I spent a lot of time reading about all the restaurants, and the food!! As you all know by now, we have decided to do the QSDP this trip. Although, there are a few CS places that are a must for us--we are not sure on the others and I'm hoping you can help.:flower3:

Epcot

Sunshine Seasons--We always visit here once a trip. We love Sunshine Seasons!! The selection of food is great and desserts are the best for a CS meal...IMO
But, as far as another meal in Epcot...I'm lost?:confused3 We are not adventurous eaters and tend to find ourselves visiting Liberty Inn at the WS every visit. I really want to try someplace new this time...any suggestions????

DTD

Wolfgang Puck Express We were very satisfied with this place last April. DH actually said it was the best CS place of the whole trip. We liked that it's sit-down and they bring the food to you. It's very high on our list but..I have also heard some great things about Earl of Sandwich and Cookes of Dublin?? and....this trip is supposed to be about trying new things...any opinions on any of them?

Magic Kingdom

Columbia Harbour House I won't be able to talk DH into going any place else for lunch. (he loved this place especially the apple cobbler dessert and the quiet upstairs) However, we do need to think of some place for dinner. Since we are going to really try to stay in the park...our choices are Pecos Bills, Cosmic Ray's or we may even decide to take a break and head over to the CR and try the Contempo Cafe (thanks MickeyMom for the idea!!)

Since we are not visiting AK or DHS:sad2: this trip...there are no meals to plan. (might be a good thing anyway since we always, always head to Pizza Planet in DHS...busy,busy!! and Flame Tree in AK....Birds!!:scared1:):rotfl: I guess I don't have to worry about that this time....still going to miss them though.....

Okay, so I have some important ADR news!! I finally booked something!! We decided to pay OOP for one meal this trip.....and decided on Ohana's character breakfast!!!:woohoo::yay: We are very excited!! We haven't been to the Poly resort since our very first visit and I'm so happy to return (my dream resort:cloud9:) Even if it's just for a meal. I made it for our last day, giving us plenty of time to finish packing. I thought I would share a few pictures I took from our Ohana's breakfast in 2008.

It was a great breakfast and we can't wait to go back!! Any Ohana memories or pictures you'd like to share....I'd love to see them!:)

NO AK????!?! How sad :(

But I love all your other ADR'S!! Columbia Harbour House is my fav!!!

Ok...I know the quote, but I'm first so I'll give some others a chance!

As far as CS places go...we did QSDP on our last trip, so here are my thoughts.

DTD-- We LOVED Cooke's of Dublin! The scallops were amazing and Dan got a fried snickers bar for dessert! :thumbsup2

In Epcot--how about trying the CS in Mexico? Do the kids like tacos? We enjoyed it there last spring. Or maybe Fish and Chips at Yorkshire Fish Shop in the UK. These are pretty tame as far as "adventurous" eating goes.

In MK--We enjoyed both Pecos Bill's as well as Cosmic Ray's, but I'd say Cosmic Ray's if you are looking for dinner. LOTS of choices...chicken, ribs, burgers.

Congrats on the 'Ohana ADR. We did our one OOP meal there as well! LOVED IT!

Food plans:yay: The only CS we've done in Epcot is Sunshine Seasons (which like you we love) and Tangieriene Cafe which we also loved. It is a Morrocan so it's a bit different, but the kids meals are completely American (read chicken nuggets.) My kids think they love Morrocan food;)

In Magic Kingdom I'm with your DH that Columbia Harbor House is the best. I've eaten at Pecos Bill and Cosmic Rays as well. They are fine. We've also eaten at Pinochio's Village Haus. That too is just your normal food. My kids like how you can see It's a Small World. Have you thought about the Main Street Bakery? I hear they have sandwiches you can get on the dining plan plus they have yummy desserts. If you are hot dog fans there is Casey's too. I've just had breakfast at Contempo Cafe so I can't offer any opinions there.

In DTD we've eaten at Earl of Sandwiches and it's really good if you're sandwich folks. That being said we've never tried Wolfgang Puck Express and I'm planning on going there next trip.

The Ohana's breakfast looks great! My boys and I actually have that scheduled for June!

Hey Angie.... trivia! First question and I'm stumped already

Food! :woohoo: In Epcot we've only been to the McDonalds or Electric Umbrella, just your standard burgers, chicken, etc. I've never been to Sunshine Seasons but I'm definately going next time. :thumbsup2 The one recommendation I hear a lot is Tangierine Cafe in Morocco.

I knew of Earl of Sandwich thru the DIS and thought we might try it, but then we stumbled upon Wolfgang Puck. Yum! Yum! I've never tried Earl or Cookes but they're on the list. The other times we've eaten CS in DTD was at McDonalds.

Cosmic Ray's is our go-to in MK but I'm definately getting to Columbia HH this time... we've been to Peco Bills once and loved it.... maybe I'll take my own advise and hit the Contempo Cafe too.

Ohana :cloud9: Since you asked for pictures.....
