cross country move

I'm planning to move across country, qnd I'm looking for tips and ideas that have worked for others in the past. I need to do this cheaply, I have more "stuff" than furniture, and I am open to suggestions.
I have a vehicle that I need to take with me, and unfortunately I can't tow with it

Get a fairly small (14 foot) U-Haul one way rental and rent a car trailer that will hook to the truck. There are two types; one that will keep one set of wheels off the ground and the other (better in my opinion) that will keep all four of the car's tires off the ground.
