Hi
Has anyone booked using David's Vacation Club before? They are mentioning cross border fees as they are based in canada. Does anyone know how much these might be and what other transfer or other fees there may be?
Thanks
Alan

I don't know how David's works but I am making an assumption that, if paying by Paypal, the associated fees would be paid by the renter.

In this case, the 'cross border' fees would be 1% and I would imagine that you would be expected to pay the 3.4% fee if paying by credit/debit card via Paypal.

There is also a 3% conversion fee if you were to pay in any currency other than what they are requesting.

These are all Paypal fees so I don't know whether David's expect the renter to pay all or some - the only way to know for sure is to ask.

Last time we used David's we paid no cross border fee - we used a credit card which had no foreign transaction fee so maybe that was why..? Anyway, like Joh said best way is to ask - I have always found all staff at David's to be very friendly and helpful. I will be using them again to prevent borrowing more of our points allowance for our next trip.
