CROCS vs. Payless knock offs

Question about the Nile sandal, can you wear the strap either filpped to the front or around the heal like you can on the Beach version?

Not without it looking awfully funny!! I just compared my Niles to my DH and DD's Payless knock-offs and the strap on the Niles are about twice as long as the straps on the Beach style so if you flip the strap over it's going to be at the very front of the shoe.

IMHO, the payless version is not the same as the Crocs. Not only is the composition of the shoe different but at the end of the day, wearing the Crocs leaves my feet pain free despite walking severa miles each day...not so with the Payless version. I have foot issues wherein I've gotten cortisone shots each year. Don't think I'll need one this summer due to wearing the Crocs whenever I can get away with it, certainly a fashion-challenged style.

FYI, I've been waiting over 2 months for my Nile sandals. Spoke to a co rep on Wednesday - she said she's been waiting for hers for over 3 months! They couldn't estimate when they'd be shipped out - anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. I searched online and ordered a pair (less than through the Croc site) on Thursday, hope they come soon.

So, the Niles are designed to always use the strap whereas on the Beachstyle it is optional. Thanks for the response.

Yes, unless you take the strap off permanently.

keishashadow - You've been waiting over 2 months for your Niles?!! I ordered mine last month from Extreme Footwear and had them in 3 days!! Maybe it's the color you ordered...I ordered the sea blue.

I got the Airwalk sandals with the 2 straps from Payles and wore them everywhere for 2 weeks prior to my trip. They did great. Once I got o WDW and had to keep up with Commando Dicky (DH) I got a blister. I had to drain it every night, even though I switched to tennis shoes with 2 pairs of socks and Moleskin. The Airwalks worked well for short periods, but the friction was too much for me. Socks and moleskin would have helped, but I found they did not offer enough calf or shin support.

I ordered basic black. I'd like to think they'll look more chic! :rotfl:
Found the email confirmation from the company I ordered from in Denver last week in my spam bin, said they've been shipped. I'm still afraid to cancel the order from CROCS. My luck I'll get 2 pair on the same day, then have to sell on ebay.

I haven't tried the Pay Less version yet, but I've gotta say that I love my Crocs. I bought the Beach version from Zappos and I literally don't take them off until bedtime. When I first read about them on this website, I remember shaking my head whenever I read someone saying the same thing, but it's true.

I have flat feet and a bunion on my right foot which makes it quite wide. I also inherited some weird disease that causes rock-hard things on the bottoms of my feet that make them feel like I'm always walking on...well, rocks. (Has something to do with my feet and hands not having sweat glands...I have never had sweaty feet or hands) Just walking from the car into the grocery store would cause me to limp. And walking on any uneven surface...forget it.

I am amazed by how wonderful these shoes are. Not only do Crocs support my arches and heels, they also make it so I can't even feel those hard things. I think it might have to do with how they form to my foot when they are warm.

I just ordered a pair of the Highlands to wear when it's cold and rainy, which is most of the time here in the Seattle area. As for how they look...I don't care if they're ugly....I can walk again and that's all that matters to me.

I knoew that i would never wear the traditional style so thought i would try the sandals - they were 8.00 so i bought some black ones and a funky orange pair - I wore them all day today at a local water park with my son and they were great...i have never even tried on real crocs but these are great (and my kids will actully walk with me while wearing them...)

LOL

I went to the Payless website and can't find the knock-offs. My store here in Pittsburgh doesn't carry them right now. Can anyone else find them on the website?

My Payless is still full of the mock Crocs. Should I buy them and put them on eBay? ;)

Even though you asked this questions 5 years ago, I'll still answer. Wore mine last year and my feet felt great. :cool1:

I could not find locally and prefers Crocs try before you buy. I am very happy with them! The day I bought them I put them on immediately and wore them everywhere, even around the house. That night my brother and I took a 3 + mile power walk and I had them. My feet felt great! I'm a runner, and even have problems with my shoes Tinea, even if sometimes poweralking.
