While at Discovery Cove last week my nephew (age 8) had his new pair of Crocs stolen (he got them as a birthday gift just before going on holiday).
He took them off when he went to swim & when he came back out the water they were gone! :sad1: He was really upset, fortunately though he had other footwear with him that day.

I know Discovery Cove isn't a Disney park, but l wanted to post this here to warn other families.

That stinks.

Someone a few years ago stole my DD's princess towel . Are these people that desperate they have to steal a kids things? :sad2:

Sorry to hear that happen to him. I don't understand why people do that kind of stuff. I hope he still had a good time even though this happened.

While I sympathize with the Crocs being gone, I have to question the assumption that they were stolen.

It costs about $200 per person to go to Discovery Cove. People don't go there to steal shoes. My guess is that either 1) someone took them by mistake, thinking they were theirs; 2) they were moved by someone because they were in the way; 3) he forgot where he put them.

Just because something is lost, doesn't mean it was stolen.

Thats terrible!

We took our Ohio State rain ponchos the week of the big game against FL.
I put them over our stroller to keep it dry while we went into Philarmagic.
When we came out they were gone and the stroller was all wet. It was our stroller so its fabric. I had to get a bag for our son to sit on.

Someone took my sons flip flops at TL once.

People are nuts! Rich people steal things they can easily purchase all the time. I had a family member that would steal over the counter meds because she thought the price was to high.

While at ASMo and enjoying the ppol, my kids and i put our towels on a recliner, and our shoes under the recliner.

When we returned to collect our things, towels were still there, but shoes were gone.. all of them.

Turns out they ended up in the lost and found because they were on the floor.

we noticed people at the contemporary pool moving our things because they wanted our seat. still rude, but they werent stealing our things.

His Crocs were left with the rest of his family's footwear (he was the only one with Crocs). It was just his that were missing. They looked about for them, checked if they had been handed in & left a contact no. in case they were handed in later.
