Crocs Sandals/Flipflops

Didn't know about an Aurora outlet store...any more info you can share on that? Are the prices for the newer styles likely to be discounted? That would be terrific!

Ok...after reading all of these posts I'm going to the Crocs store at lunch and taking the plunge! I'm thinking that I need some pretty pink Capris for my trip in September. :)

The Aurora Outlets are getting a Croc Store!?!?!?! WOW Awesome. When is it opening? I need some comfy shoes for our trip in Sept. I have some generic crocs, and the black circle part on the side rubs ny foot and gives it a blister.

I LOVE my crocs, most comfy shoes I own, and I've convinced most of my family to try them, too. Plus, love the new non-sandal designs they came out with, too!

Yeah, the Crocs store in Aurora was supposed to open on Aug 1st, but got pushed back to Aug 14th. I work at Bose just across from their location so the mall office is probably tired of me calling every two weeks! I haven't heard yet what their pricing will be, I just hope I can get some great deals just before my trip in September. Hopefully they don't push back their open date too much longer!!

We have a Crocs outlet store here in WI in Johnson's Creek. That store has helped me pay for my WDW trip in a couple weeks! I buy Crocs there and sell them on Ebay!

They have the kids Athens for $9.99 (and with my small foot, I can fit into a kid's size!) :cool1:
The adult Athens and Beach are $24.99 (TONS of colors!!)
Mary Jane's are $19.99 (all sizes)

The new ones are basically the original price (if they even have them) - not much discount there, but it's cool to see all the colors together on one wall and not have to wonder what they look like from the online picture!

It's a very fun store!! :goodvibes

I recieved my two pair of Athens in the mail last week & I love them!!!!!!Thanks to all of you who suggested this shoe. Amazingly comfortable. I even wore them Saturday on a short hike in the woods.:thumbsup2

I am a large man. I wear black wingtip shoes every day of my life except when working on my house or walking in the park. :cool1: I dont want to look stupid but I need a shoe that will allow me to go on the water rides without causing blisters from wet shoes. Can I wear white (100% acrylic) socks with crocks without being laughed at? What style should I get?

Well.... ;)
It does bring a smile to one's face when you see a man with "socks & crocs"! :goodvibes

But, if you find them comfortable, more power to you!!! :woohoo:

I personally found the Beach Crocs (clog style) to be very hot in June. I much prefered the Athens flip flops. My husband tried the traditional crocs (with no socks) last year and ended up with terrible blisters. This year, we bought him $100 Ecco sandals (he's never worn sandals in his life before this!) and a good supply of moleskin, and he was fine.

When you say "water rides", do you mean Kali Falls and Splash Mountain? :confused3 If you meant the water rides at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, your best best is a pair of "water shoes". We all wore them for the water parks. :cool1:

You know what? I don't think anyone will think anything about it. I'm sure there are people by the thousands everyday in DW with socks on with their crocs. If you're worried, Just use some of the short low rise "invisible socks" and no one will ever see them.I think the cayman style-original- crocs are sooo comfy. I bought some for my dad who is a large man, and he loves them. And, if they fit right, I can't imagine them rubbing blisters??? But, they can get hot. I plan on going in athens, flip slop style this time. Good luck!:goodvibes

Honestly, they fit DH, but he still got terrible blisters. I think he didn't "break them in" enough. He had blisters on his blisters. It was a mess. Now he only wears them when he goes out in the yard. Can't understand why I find them so comfortable. I guess some people's feet are different than others! ;)

Evidently! I wasn't trying to dispute you, I just really can't imagine mine rubbing my feet like that. I guess those socks are a good idea Aquayne:)

I swore I wouldnt be caught dead in a pair of crocs of any model. I needed something for the boat so for kicks, I tried on a pair of clearance crocs and darn are they comfy. I may have to buy a pair for those times when no one else is on board.

I have a pair of Crocs Scutes in black and I LOVE them! :lovestruc
I have worn them to Cedar Point & King's Island (one time for a whole week of parks) and they were great!:thumbsup2

I'm telling you, you would love the Athens, they are like walking on a cloud & they come in black(since you're use to black shoes):thumbsup2

I have had several pair of different croc styles and I love them. My problem is: I get the POO shocked out of me when I wear them at home.

I think men's feet blister more easily because we never expose them to the sun compared to women. I get my tan from the elbow down and the neck up just like a good Dad should. My legs are so purty white it would make you cry. ;)

Ive just bought a pair of mary janes - wow that fushia is bright!! Im intending to wear them around the home a bit to get used to them but im finding they really feel strange around my toenails. They are the same size i wear in a normal shoe and are loose all round. I dont want to wear socks with them - gonna look strange enough in my shorts as it is!! Will this feeling go away?

I think you hit the nail on the head, Wayne. lol DH does wear shorts in the yard, so his legs are a little tan... but those feet? - as white as snow. :rotfl:
