Crocs - Oh My Word!!!!!!!

How much are the Airwalks at Payless? I might have to check them out for my kids.

I have Crocs Cayman's and they are brown. I like them but I don't think they're "all that" like I originally felt about my Birkenstocks. I do need to stretch them a bit at the top of the foot...I should get the hair dryer out now and do that.

My feet do sweat in them..but they also get a nice breeze from the holes. And they don't get stinky because of the kind of resin from which they're made.

the age old question... with or without socks?
Good question! :thumbsup2 While I have been wearing mine around the house all winter/spring with socks, preferred imo, I wore them tonight to go shopping 'au natural' and, at first, it felt funny, but within moments I felt the same comfort. :goodvibes

My Mom has been wearing hers longer than me, and she has a 'rubbing' issue, but I bought her the same socks I'll be wearing with mine. She should be fine. DD has NO issues going sockless, she never did. The sizing makes a difference I think.

Kim,

I LOVE that website! :thumbsup2

I'm going to forward it along to my girlfriend. I will have to TA with your kids assessment. I am a preschool teacher, and let me tell you something--so many of the kiddos wear Crocs, in all the different colors, and they do look so adorable on them!

However that said--sometimes, the Moms come in, and I swear, they must have bought HUGE :rotfl: :rotfl: sizes because they look terrible on them!

My girlfriend was over last night, and we were talking about and getting such a huge kick out of this thread and telling our husbands about it because she LOVES her Crocs, and I just "don't!" :rotfl2:

She kept trying to get me to try hers on, "Just try 'em on. You'll see how comfortable they are. You'll love them." But, I just couldn't do it--I'm afraid that once I try them on....I'll like them, and I'll be forced to buy a pair (in orange, brown, yellow, blue, etc. etc. etc.)! :lmao:

(...AND funny thing you said this but, we asked my husband if he liked them, and he said, "Not on my size 11 feet! They would look like BOATS!" :rotfl2: )

I didn't mention that my Crocs are indeed ugly and huge. So far I'm wearing them without socks.

I went to Payless today to look for Airwalks for the kids...all they had were these (if its even possible for a croc style shoe to be more so...) extremely ugly red white and blue ones. Oh well...

I don't think crocs are ugly! They rock! :teeth: Would they be good to buy for a disney vacation with alot of walking? And how much do they cost? :confused3 I'd love an excuse to buy them! Oh yeah, are Airwalks another type of crocs?

Airwalks are the Payless brand of Croc's, and by most acccounts are just as good...and a tad less wide. I had to buy childrens size 3, so no boat look to mine (I have navy!). But...my dh has two pairs (navy and taupe) and *loves them! In fact, we just added his to our suitcase for our trip in three days! He was a skeptic until I bought myself a pair and he humored me by trying on a pair in the store. Within 5 minutes, he was hooked! Both my dd's have them too (pink, blue, black). They are about $12.99 at Payless. We got all of ours during on of there, B1G1 half off sale!

Oh, and we prefer to wear ours with ankle length socks, for us...they are more comfy that way.

A local store has Crocs for $25-30, and RICs (Ranger's Incredibly Comfortable Shoes) for $14. I haven't bought either pair, but the RICs were just as comfy as the Crocs. If you see the RICs, give them a try, too. Summerfootwear.com has PUR Sponge Clogs that look the same, but I don't know about comfort.

Yep! You'd be hooked if you tried them! ;) :thumbsup2

So I bought a pair of black ones on Wednesday. DH tried them on yesterday and now we have orange and green too. He plans to wear his at Disney but I think then it will be around the house and to cut the grass.

My nut job DH wants to wear 2 different colors at the same time, one orange and one green, I did manage to take control there and squash that thinking.

You girls are insane on this board, do you know that? :rotfl:

I am getting the biggest kick out of reading this thread!

...and yes, you did the right thing! Do NOT let that man wear two different color crocs! YIKES! That is scary! :teeth:

I love my light blue Crocs! I wore them exclusively during my Disneyland trip last November and you better believe they'll be coming along on our WDW trip this summer! I don't think they're ugly at all... rather cute in fact!

My DH and I just became Croc converts. I hope they are as comfortable as everyone says they are because we're heading for the parks in less than 1 month!!

Yesterday my DH and I were at Dick's Sporting Goods. They had Crocs in every color imaginable. I bought myself a light blue pair...my DH tried on a navy pair. The only thing was the sizing. 8-9 or 10-11...I wear a size 9 and the 8-9 fit a little snug in the toes so I went up in size. They feel good, maybe a little loose. They were selling for $29.99.

I think you'll be happier with that size. My Mom & I got the 6-7s. I'm a 6-1/2 and mine are fine. She's a 7 and she has a slight rubbing issue. :guilty: Socks should cure that tho. :thumbsup2

Enjoy!!! :goodvibes

I love the crocs and I also think they are butt-ugly too!

If I were younger and easily embarrassed, I would choose style over comfort. But I have definately been won over. Guess I'm getting old.

Having read about them on this board (thanks alot, DISers!) I was curious and just had to give them a try.

Went with the Payless's Airwalk flip flop type for the price...just to see if I want to pay more for those ugly garden thingies.

Guess what I'm wearing all the time now? In fact, the pain in my right foot is gone now. Prior to these, I haven't had enough arch support in all the other flip flops and sandals I have been wearing.

My DH is coming around to the idea now that a couple of our friends have shown us theirs.

Now I'm ready to shell out $25 to $30 for the ugly caymans. Just trying to figure out what screaming bright color to choose.

They are cute on the kids. It's something you would expect to see on younger people. Grown ups just look like they are trying to be something they're not.

You have all talked me into it!!!! Croc's it is. I have been following all the posts cause I work in the mall and see them everyday in the shoe store, I have been trying to decide if they would be worth it or not. But i've decided to buy them tomorrow!!!! Thanks for all the reviews of these shoes. And just a side note, I think they are cute. I'm gonna go with the black ones. Thanks everyone!!!! ; )
