Does anyone let their kids wear crocs shoes in WDW?

I got some for me, now DD5 wants her very own purple pair. Just wondering if they'll be OK. I had to order hers online so she'll only have them about a week or so before we leave.

Thanks for the help

I am probably alone in this as I have seen SO MANY people thrilled with their Crocs, but my girls both got HIDEOUS blisters on their feet from their Crocs. They had had them for over a month and wore them daily and thought they were the PERFECT shoes - so comfy etc. Well, on our first day of our August trip, my 9 yr old showed me her foot and I gasped and said "Why didn't you show me earlier!!!???" The metal hinges rubbed her so wrong and left a raw, bloody blister. Then I checked my 5 yr old's feet - the SAME thing!!!! We limped our way out of Epcot to our resort & switched to their Keens and Tevas for the rest of the trip with no more foot problems. Kids!!! ;)

My son was 5 during our last trip and he has a pair of Crocs and LOVES them!

he particularly loves that he can stomp through puddles with them on! And it doesnt matter!!!

My Crocs dont seem to have metal anywhere on them? I know that some people have stickers on theirs and others have a croc right on the plastic"pin" that attaches the strap on. Mine are all plastic parts ...no metal. No Blisters!!! Love them and my DD loves hers. I have the clog type.

Hi!! :) Nope, my kids have the clog type with the holes on top of the foot and the hinge for the backstrap that has the Crocs logo. There is an inside disc that seems like metal to me, but I went and rechecked and it is black plastic. That is where it dug in and rubbed their feet really badly on the inside of their feet and the outer part - both of those hinge discs. They really liked them up until our Disney trip. They wore them everywhere. The Crocs were not too small, either - just rubbed in a nasty way on that back strap hinge after being on their feet for a few hours in the August heat. I still think you get what you pay for with shoes. I stick with my Keens and Chacos and the girls stick with their Keens and Tevas for happy feet at WDW. :flower: To each his own. Everybody's feet are different!! ;)

That is so sad. My DD loves her Crocs and Thank goodness no rubbing. Blisters are not fun and blisters in WDW are the WORST!!!

DD5 wore her Crocs every day of our October trip. We brought other shoes but she wore nothing but the Crocs. It rained everyday so they were great. She was very comfortable.

we always alternate shoes at disney, therefore my two 5 year olds and I wore crocs every other day. none of us had a problem with blisters. my boys adore their crocs.

My three year old wore her crocs everyday all summer and into the fall. We've never had a blister problem on numerous all day hikes, trips, etc. She is dying to get back into them when we go to Disney. They are the best shoe ever!

I bought my DD (4 years old) a pink pair of cayman ones this spring. She wore them everywhere all summer.

This Christmas I gave her a apsen pair (no wholes). We just got back from WDW. She wore one or the other pair of crocs the whole trip. We brought other shoes just in case (tennies and sandles). Never would touch any other shoes. No problems at all.

She loves them.
