Crocs for Hubby questions???

Hubby is willing to try crocs even though he thinks they are ugly for trip to Orlando in May. His concern is that he has very high instep and wonders if this is going to be a problem for him? Anyone with a high instep have any advice on this? Help would be greatly appreciated. I ordered two pair for me on Monday and waiting for them to arrive to try them out. I got the Niles in Chocolate and the Caymans in Black. Brings me to my next question, do they when wet get the dye on your feet? We plan to visit one or two water parks plus the pool at the resort while there and I don't want to walk around with black or brown feet..

I have a very high instep. For me, there was a little bit of rub where the strap met the shoe on the inside of my foot. But as long as I wore them like clogs they were fine. And I should probably say that I only got a very tiny rub, and we walked at least 12 miles that day!

When you get your shoes, you will see that they are a solid color of the rubber-type material. They will not discolor your skin if they get wet.

Don't know about the high instep, I have flat feet .

I have a VERY flat and wide foot and my shoes fit perfect. If there's enough "stretch" to not pinch my wide feet - I would imagine there would be enough for a high arch. Worse case scenario - if they are too tight up top - toss them in the dryer for a few minutes then have him put them on while warm and walk around in them until they cool - that should do the trick.

My husband has the highest arch of anyone in the world, seriously, it is unbelievable. We have the hardest time to find him comfortable shoes and Crocs are the ONLY shoes he wears, especially to WDW. He swears by them and so do I, go for it!!

I also have a very high arch and I have no problems. While the top of my foot touched the top of the shoe when I first bought them, I think the strap going across the top of my foot has stretched a little with use, so there's no rubbing. I never really noticed any rubbing anyway since I wore them for just a couple of hours each day for the first week or so. I didn't try the dryer trick, but have heard good results about being able to stretch the shoe once you get it warm.

I think it's worth the investment for your DH to try them.

My dh made fun of my Crocs...then dd got them. Well, now dh has them, in khaki. He loves them!! And he actually wears them out in public and not just in WDW!!!! And he says he may get another pair so he can have a choice of colors. As far as the high arches issue...I have extremely high arches and the Crocs are the most comfy shoe I've found. I have problems even in good athletic shoes with knee pain and lower back pain, besides my feet hurting. I don't have any of those pain issues with my Crocs on.

Thank you all for your help. Hubby will be sporting a new pair of Crocs. He says he will give them a try. Now if I could just get him to try the lime green ones But will probably have to stick to the black or tan colored ones.
