I had ordered a crockpot. Do anyone of you have true, and tried recipes, and tips?

Look at the Crockpot Crazy thread - there's millions! (well, a lot:rolleyes1 ) the index is stickied on the top of the page:thumbsup2 I've been crockpotting less than 6 months and I've found all the recipes on here work really well - also google Crockpot Lady (she used crockpot every day for 2008) - if hers don't work she says so!:rotfl2: I've never had a bad recipe from here or crockpot lady, whereas everything I tried from the instruction book and a book my mum lent me were absolute pants:headache:

OK - now there's a phrase I haven't heard before..."absolute pants" :rotfl: Good one!

The actual thread with the recipes to which MazdaUK is referring can be found at: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=275509 Please join us in discussion there as you try things & have questions, successes and any failures.

The index is always at the top of the forum: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1915122 and the first post includes the link above so you can always find the actual recipes.

I rarely use mine for entire meals - with the exception of a beef roast, pork & beans, almost lasagna and 3 cheese chicken & noodles. I generally am doing my sides on the stovetop. I'm not a fan of recipes that require cooking things before they go in the crock...I want "toss it in & leave it" aka lazy recipes. LOL But even so I love my crockpot! I frequently use it for things that used to sit on the stove all day - like sausage cooked in spaghetti sauce for sandwiches. I also avoid recipes that call for canned soups because they add so much fat & sodium to the dish, but there are lots of those there...and all sound delicious!

Our new favorite thing is to make dessert in the crock. Don't forget to check out that section. And have fun! :thumbsup2
