I am not trying to start a debate I just want to let out my frustration. I am out of points for this year and am trying to make a trip next month. I asked for the AP rate on 2 Allstars, CBR, and the cabins. I recevied an excellent rate on the Allstars and the cabins were sold out. I asked her to check OKW and she said that she would check a 1br for me! This frustrates me as an owner because this means that when disney rents out my timeshare they are allowing over occupancy that will mean more wear and tear that I have to pay for!

Thanks for listening!

Before we purchased CRO put 6 of us in a Studio Plus...granted it was 2 adults and 4 kids 3m, 3,4,5 yr olds. When ended up buying we were so in love with the place...

the added revenue might also help keep the place well kept

Since the members pay for the upkeep and since we don't see the revenue for the renatls, I doubt it will help in the least.

But that was perfectly within the guidelines for a studio plus. (As you of course know). :D

I've found lately that many CRO cm's don't know what they are doing, probably because they are new. It may have been a mistake, not an intentional disregard of the occupancy rules.

She said she'd check, not that she was able to book it. I'm willing to bet the system would not have let her book a 1br for 6 people. I can't imagine that they'd do this on a regular basis, I can't imagine the complaints when people show up and find bedding for 4.

If one of the children is under 3 - I think CRO can do it - I thought MS last year started to allow 5 in a 1-bedroom anyway.

the studio-plus can allow 5 - and one of your children was under 3 - so zurgswife - I think it was okay....Crowded but within the rules.

Stupid question I'm sure  but.............

What's a Studio-Plus????

Never heard of such a category.

A studio plus is only available at BWV. It's a dedicated studio with a small daybed which would allow a 5th person (child).

Well, its technically possible to fit 6 in an OKW 1br.....I mean, with a king bed, a pull out couch and a love seat....if its not all adults it could be done. I know my entire family of 4 has ended up sleeping in the king bed in some of the 1br's....though I don't recommend it!

But obviously, as everyone here knows, it isn't supposed to be permitted.

There is plenty of room in a 1 br at OKW for 6 if 3 of them are little kids and one is a baby in the crib and then Mom and Dad. I am sure CRO would only book a 1 br over the limit in similiar circumstances. As far as wear and tear on the unit, I think it all evens out in the end. We ALWAYS are under the villa occupancy limit by at least 1 person and sometimes as many as 3-4 people under and we NEVER have little children traveling with us, so our wear and tear on the unit is much less than a family with several small children at the occupancy limit for the villa.
I, as an owner care very much about the DVC resorts and want to see them maintained to the max etc., but honestly I think sometimes these room limit concerns get a little carried away.

We have 3 adults and 3 kids in a 1 bdrm this Dec and MS had no quams about allowing that.

There goes the discussion....it was so civilized...:wave2: :wave2:

Don't you see the irony????

Someone posts about MS accepting six in a one bedroom and the absurdity of such a thing. Just about each and every poster expressed revulsion or disbelief that MS would disrespect our property so terribly.

than someone posts that MS let them have six. sorry, that sickens me.

Everyone laughed and pooh poohed the idea of five in the room giving way to six being acceptable.

Seems seven and eight are next.

Sorry, but I am thoroughly disgusted by that sort of behavior and disrespect and withered by the fact that MS seems to allow it.
