We (me, DH, DS12, my mom and dad) will be in the World November 8th-17th. My parents have never been. DH, DS and I have been many times, and have some favorites that I have included. I wanted to do a really great variety so that my parents can experience our favorites, some character meals, some great ethnic meals, etc. Here's what it looks like right now:

Mon 9 Ohana dinner (9:10 p.m.) - a family favorite
Tue 10 1900 Park Fare dinner (4:10 pm)
Wed 11 Sci-Fi Dine In dinner (5:20 pm) -- this is son's fave
Thur 12 Tusker House breakfast (10:10 am)
Raglan Road dinner (6:15 pm)
Fri 13 Whispering Canyon dinner (6:45 pm)
Sat 14 Ohana breakfast (9:30 am)
Hoop De Doo Review dinner (8:30 pm)
Sun 15 Boma dinner (6:25 pm)
Mon 16 Be Our Guest lunch (12:15 pm)
T-Rex dinner

My son has also requested that I fit Biergarten in somewhere. What do y'all think?

Unless someone specifically requested 1900 PF, I'd cancel that one. The food is only ok. I don't know about your DS, but my boys (ages 14 & 8) would not enjoy a Cinderella dinner. Although when they're 16 or so, they may change their mind. Maybe fit Biergarten in here?

We enjoy Sci Fi and TH is one of our favorite breakfasts.

We haven't eaten at Raglan Rd yet, but I've heard lots of good things.

Whispering Canyon is just ok. I'd probably opt for Grand Floridian Café or Kona over WCC.

We did Hoop De doo for the first time two years ago and loved it!

Boma is one of our must-do's for dinner.

We really enjoyed BOG lunch.

We haven't done TRex, but it doesn't really appeal to us. I imagine it might be very loud (like Rainforest can be). Will that be enjoyable for your family?

Only one that I would reconsider is Whispering canyon. Reviews seem to be so-so lately. Are you on the dining plan? If so, I would have a hard time using a TS credit for a breakfast. (Especially during prime park hours like you have yours)

I agree with laughingplace. I like 1900 PF but would ditch it with boys. I would book Biergarten here.

We also did not care for WCC, but are in the minority.

Loved Raglan Road!

'Ohana breakfast is almost always on our rotation. The food is good and we love the characters.

HDDR gets mixed reviews in my family. Well, not mixed. My DH laughed so much last trip I swear he was crying. My DGD, 11 at the time, was more amused by him than the show. She was bored to tears with that and found it corny. The DD and DSIL refused to go ( DD gates it. DSIL preferred anywhere else. LOL) with all that said, I would keep it. HDDR is classic WDW!

I would ditch Whispering Cannon Cafe also. We we thoroughly unimpressed. The food was just ok and the time waiting for a table was unacceptable.

Hmm..Whispering Canyon has consistently been one of our faves, but based on the opinions here and the fact that we are doing HDDR (which has similar food), I may switch it out for Biergarten since my son wants that one.

I would.

So I did it. Cancelled Whispering Canyon at 6:45, and booked Biergarten at 4:50 in its place. Keeping 1900 Park Fare just because we love the interaction there and I want my parents to experience it. Any other suggestions/thoughts?

I'm thinking I may switch out Boma dinner for the Minnie's Hollywood & Dine at DHS, just because it's a special holiday event, the location is more convenient, and we can do Boma anytime.

We LOVED Raglan Road for dinner! The food was delicious and the live music was fantastic!

I personally think Be Our Guest lunch is the best way to do be our guest! Love the food at lunch! With the new reservation system its pretty fast as well! Love the atmosphere in there as well!

We had dinner at T-Rex and thought it was really fun! My boyfriend loves jurassic park so for him it was the novelty of sitting in the "ice" room when the comet hits he thought that was super cool. Food was okay. We both decided for the price next time we would probably just go for drinks and the atmosphere, but good enough to do once especially if you have a son!

We are trying Biergarten and O'hana for dinner this trip in September as well so I will let you know about those once I get back :)
