Criminal Minds -- DIS Official Thread 1 (SPOILERS!)

Hotch should have told Rossi. :(

I knew he wouldn't. I wonder if Strauss even knows? I think it's just JJ and Hotchner. They cannot put the burden on the team to keep quiet and possibly put Prentiss at risk. It's not that they aren't trustworthy, it's just that as few as possible need to know.

Did anyone else notice that Hotch didn't do a psych evaluation of Seaver? Maybe because she hasn't been on the team that long?

I was just discussing that with my mom, who is half asleep on the couch. She started snoring mid-conversation, so I came here. :rotfl:

How dare you!!! Take it back right now!

NOTHING about Reid is average!

 You're right. I wouldn't want you joking and calling Hitch average, either.

;)

Probably because if he asked her, she'd say, "Oh is Prentiss gone? I hadn't noticed?"

I guess the Strauss/college episode is next week. I'm sure your mom will stay awake to quiz you on college safety.

Seaver would be like "Emily who? I thought I was the only girl in the field."

:lmao:

Well, at least most of these college episodes happen to people living on campus. I'm living at home next year, so I'm probably safe ;) But there was an episode last year that took place in Providence, which is where my college is :scared1: But I've spent a ton of time in Providence in my life and I'm still here so I think I'll be okay

<gulp!> :crazy2: You DO know, those are always famous last words.

We are going to have to send you back to watch all the episodes from the very first episode. :sad2:

I've actually been having a marathon the last couple weeks. I've re-watched the first two seasons so far...I just had a little brain lapse. I've been doing homework for the past few hours so my brain is fried

Don't worry, I promise I'll be careful next year. If I randomly don't show up here one wednesday night, then you know something's wrong

On the other hand, I may just not be here because my internet is down...:rotfl: I remember the night of the Prentiss episode, my internet went down right when it ended and I was trying to post something

On a different note...remember my forensics class? It's sooo hard! :scared1: That class is a TON of work! I wouldn't be doing very well without my amazing friend/lab partner  I miss my psych class. That was much better! I like my sociology class too. So basically I prefer my Criminal Minds-ish classes over my CSI-ish class. Ironic, because I like CM a LOT more than CSI :scratchin

I wonder if this is why the police wait 24-48 hrs before considering someone is missing? :scratchin

The Internet could simply be down. :headache:

Just keep repeating:
I am smarter than Seaver. I can do all these classes.

I found where Doyle is hiding out!

Whenever I see this, I only think of him as Doyle. :crazy2:

Paget, come back so the team can capture Doyle. :(

:rotfl: I saw that the other day. He was also in National Treasure 2.

TV.com has a list of shows that were renewed, probably coming back, cancelled, etc. CM is on the definitely coming back, but not officially announced, list :thumbsup2 SB is on the "Not looking good" list :rolleyes1 Did anyone here watch it last week? I didn't. Baseball is more important ;) I'll sacrifice an hour of the Red Sox game for CM, but not for SB

:woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

YES! Now, we just have to make sure TG & Shemar are both back. As it turns out, they still have one more week of shooting the finale. Someone had leaked a possible spoiler early, and when I read the headlines, I thought they had already filmed the season finale. Maybe enough people will spam their Twitter accounts that their twitter assistant will go nuts and just tell them, "Please! Would you two, sign the darn contracts already!

As it is, they only film 4 days a week. They get Fri, Sat & Sun off. They take 2 weeks to film each episode.

What's SB again? :confused3 ;)

Last week, I watched the reunion show of Top Chef. I suppose I am free this week. I guess I should tune in. . . Maybe it's finally gotten better? :scratchin Some shows do that. The first few episodes are rather bad until the writers and actors find their footing. But with Whitaker constantly overacting as the unsub, :headache: that's usually when I tune out.

I just found this article: http://www.digitalspy.com/ustv/news/a314326/criminal-minds-star-understands-criticism.html

Uh oh popcorn::

I do feel bad for Rachel Nichols. It's really not her fault that she's replacing a beloved cast member.

Maybe Seaver will have to dip her hand in blood? :scared1: :p

I didn't have so much of a problem with the actress, Rachel Nichols as her stupid character, Seaver. I hope the writers & producers replace her next season. Bring in a REAL experienced, FBI BAU team member. This whole season, except for Prentiss' departure, wasn't very well written.

Also, I noticed she's a brunette in that picture of the linked article. They should have left her a brunette, or at least not made her hair the exact same color as J.J.

CBS definitely won't let them go after the uproar they got after AJ and Paget were fired. I'm still hoping that Paget comes back! I really want to see how the team would react to her coming back. Obviously they'd be relieved that she's not dead, but if I've already excepted the fact that someone is dead and then they walk into the room I'd be freaked out :scared1:

:rotfl: The episode I watched a couple weeks ago was actually good. I haven't watched since then so I can't say if the recent episodes have been better.

If Paget doesn't come back, I really hope they don't replace her with a young brunette woman :guilty: I'd be happier if they didn't replace her at all.

I think she might be a natural blonde. I saw Rachel Nichols in a movie and she was blonde. I just googled her and most of the pictures were blonde, some brunette, and a couple red-head. By the way...don't google her if you don't want to see some non-DIS appropriate modeling pictures...

"A.J. Cook In Talks To Return To 'Criminal Minds' As Regular,
Paget Brewster May Be Back Too, While Ed Bernero Is Leaving

By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Wednesday April 13, 2011 @ 11:41am PDT

AJ_Cook.jpg

EXCLUSIVE: Potential great news for Criminal Minds fans: Co-star A.J. Cook is in talks to return to the CBS crime drama next season as a regular, and she may be joined by Paget Brewster. Meanwhile, executive producer Ed Bernero, who has run the series since the start, is leaving, with another Criminal Minds veteran, executive producer Erica Messer, taking over as the sole showrunner.

Cook departed Criminal Minds after the end of last season when her option was not picked up, stirring outcry among fans of the show. She appeared in the first two episodes of this season to wrap the storyline of her character JJ, who was transferred from the BAU to a job at the Pentagon. Cook then returned for the last episode (for now) of co-star Brewster, which aired last month. Speaking of Brewster, she is filming a comedy pilot for NBC, My Life As An Experiment, and will continue on the project if it goes to series. But if it doesn't, I hear Criminal Minds producers ABC Studios/CBS Studios have an option on her for the show and, if they exercise it as many expect, that would bring the cast of the show back to the way it was at the end of last season. The developments, especially Cook's potential return to Criminal Minds, do not bode well for newly minted regular Rachel Nichols, who was brought in to fill the void left by Cook's departure. Cook got an offer to return to Criminal Minds late last week after the series' producers recently came up with ideas for JJ for next season. Despite her exit from the show, Cook and her character continue to be extremely popular among Criminal Minds fans.

While things look bright for the female portion of the Criminal Minds cast, things are still murky on the male side, with stars Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore still not signed for next season. Talks are under way with the two actors, whose deals are up at the end of this season.

As for Bernero, he told the cast and crew of his departure last night. There had been speculation that he would leave the series at the end of the season, especially after Simon Mirren and Messer were tapped as co-showrunners alongside him in October and he got his script Partners picked up to pilot at ABC in January. In February, Mirren told CBS he was leaving the show at the end of the season for a deal at Sony, leaving the well-regarded Messer as the clear successor. "I'm leaving the show in the capable hands of Erica Messer," Bernero said last night, adding, "I'll still be around." A new episode of Criminal Minds airs tonight."

I don't think this pic needs any words, but here is an article to go with it.

Thomas Gibson on Hotch in a Possible Season 7

"LOOOOVED your chat with Thomas Gibson. Any more Hotch dish? — Lee
How about some Hotch scoop…for season 7! Well, if there is a season 7 (please, please, please, please, please, and duh). Thomas Gibson hopes the audience gets a chance to see the deeper effects of this season’s uber-impactful storylines (like the “death” of his colleague Emily Prentiss). “I think he’s had his share of challenges and tragedy and it would be nice to see him [cope]. I think he’s going through the process of dealing with some of that, and I don’t know if we’ve seen that happen,” he tells me. “We’ve never really seen him deal with what’s happened in his life in the past couple years. I think exploring that would be interesting and I think we may end up seeing some of that.” But how does Gibson envision a derailed Hotch? “There are so many ways for that to manifest itself. He doesn’t, I think, have a whole lot of indulgence of his own for any of the weight that he carries. To a certain extent, that’s one of his flaws. He would rather ignore it, and of course, you can’t ignore it forever.”"
