Criminal Minds -- DIS Official Thread 1 (SPOILERS!)

Oops I meant Morgan. Earlier they had a playful banter. The exchange at the movies at the beginning of the episode made it sound something more.

The door would still be open as long as they did not show her dead. Her 5 team members would never put her at risk. Hotch has mentioned to Morgan in an earlier episode he trusts him with his life then why cant he trust him with this. Morgan is feeling so guilty he couldn't save her. These are professional law enforcement who I think can be trusted.

They've had the playful banter through all 6 seasons, but they've never dated at all. I don't think they ever will. I hope they don't because personally I think that their friendship now is adorable :lovestruc Plus I like Kevin!

I think that if they told the team, it would turn into one of those "Well this person knows now, so we should probably tell this person" situations, and too many people would find out.

Plus, I would never trust Seaver with a secret like that :rolleyes1 Imzadi, I'm sure you're with me on that one ;)

I don't include Seaver in the persons who should know but Morgan Reid Grarcia and Rossi should have been told. Just these 4 deserve the truth and are reliable enough to be trusted with it.

I love their playful banter. I love their emotional connection but yesterdays conversation when they leave the movie was not that IMHO.

Are Hotch and Garcia officially dating now?

Oops I meant Morgan.

I'm glad you clarified that. Wow. that certainly would have been something big that I missed about Hotch! :scared1:

Seaver doesn't even remember who Prentiss is anymore. :rotfl2:

Hotch isn't even supposed to know. Unfortunately, as much as I love Hotch, he can by quite by the book, honorable and anal-retentive with all this FBI/Pentagon, top secret, protocol stuff. So, he's not going to tell anyone. If he comes back next season, this might be some of the stuff eating away at him.

I think if he does tell someone, it would be Rossi. Rossi is one of the people who trained him. And out of all the people who deserve to know and would keep it a secret, it would be Rossi.

Remember, Doyle might be watching all of them from afar. Morgan, and especially Reid would change emotionally by knowing Prentiss is alive. They'd just be emotionally lighter, happier. It would show when they think they aren't being watched. That's how Doyle would know Prentiss is still alive.

Hotch, being a profiler, himself, would know that about Morgan & Reid. He wouldn't put Prentiss' life at risk like that. Right now, she has the upper hand, in hunting for Doyle. She can't come out of hiding until he's caught. And the team can't help her, because she and Doyle have gone international. He's looking for his son. She knows best where he probably looking.

Not only would Morgan's & Reid's affect change (Hotch's didn't because his never changes), but remember that these profilers also aren't always safe themselves. Remember when Reid was kidnapped & tortured (an episode I still can't watch!)? True that they would never say anything consciously, but who knows what might happen? Let's say they're not kidnapped but injured & have to go on heavy drugs. The could blurt out something then. It's safer for everyone if they don't know. After all, only a few people knew that Emily was alive the last time, all very trustworthy individuals, but somehow Doyle found out anyway. If you were entrusted with her life, would you take that risk?

There's an old saying: Two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead.

That does make sense. I wonder if the writers actually out this much logic and read between the lines like we do.

I still cant watch the Reid torture episode and the one where the unsub kills the family when every1 thinks they r on vacation!

U know even I call the killer the unsub in the movies. I lol'ed at that joke.

Nah, Garcia & Morgan have been talking like that way before this scene here:

In real life Kirsten Vangness, said in an interview a couple years ago that she and Shemar hang out a lot after the show. They are best friends in real life. She said he's like a black doppelganger version of her.

This season's writers don't seem to do that. They are not very good profilers, themselves, if they and the producers didn't realize getting rid of 2 actresses would have such an emotional effect on the fans.

And if they think getting back J.J. but allowing of Shemar or Thomas to go, and don't realize half the fans will go with them, they will be complete morons. :sad2:

Watching Criminal Minds, without Shemar or Thomas would be like watching: Suspect Behavior. :p

The only two episodes I can't watch are the ones where the Reaper stabs Hotch, and the one where his wife dies. :sad1:

On the Long Island serial killer thread here, I almost called the killer an unsub. When I described the difference between a serial killer and a plain multiple homicide, I thought, I'm watching too many of these cop dramas that I even know that.

No the video you posted is an emotional one. Watch last episodes banter and it was more of a mundane flirting which I dont associate with these two. Again maybe I read too much into it and the writers dont.

The one were Hotch's wife dies I watch but cry a lot but the one time i watch the Reid torture episode I was very disturbed even at the thought of how they even filmed it.

If either Shemar or Thomas go CM will not recover. The producers need to understand that. JJ or Prentiss leaving is at the most a dent in viewer ratings but either of these two leaving would mean an unprecedented drop in TRP; just liked I stopped watching CSI regularly after Grissom left.

I hope A.J.'s agent negotiated for more money than if she had never left! :p

She could have used the year off to have another baby, if she & her DH want another one. That would have been nice to have the time off that way, instead of being depressed about being off the show and having to look for other work.

But, the Season finale is on May 18th! I thought it would be a week later than that.

I figured if the fans complained about it enough, CBS would get the point ;) We've only been complaining for about 8 months :rolleyes1

I'm so excited :yay:

I was so happy to find out she was returning today! Now alls they have to do is get rid of Seaver and the show is back to normal! :goodvibes

:scratchin I've been thinking:

If Paget comes back, too, I bet we find out Rossi figured out that Prentiss is still alive. He saw how J.J. stopped Reid from going in to see her. He might have also looked up to see Hotch walk out of the room and how he & J.J. had that little talk. As unemotional as Hotch is, he's still pretty readable to those who know what to look for. We all figured out he knows. Hotch figured it out with one clue. Rossi has had two.

Rossi, just seems to be in the right places and available for Hotch to talk things through, should Hotch need to. Giving Hotch a chance to talk during his own assessment. Then being there when Strauss was on the phone ragging on Hotch.

I think there is a possibility, that if Paget comes back, that Rossi will just say, "Oh, I knew." And if Hotch says, "Why didn't you ever say anything?" He'd say, "For the same reason you didn't. But, I was always available should you have needed to talk to someone about it.":scratchin

As for Seaver: Now that we're getting the REAL J.J. back, :woohoo: does the show even need Faux J.J.? And a dumb one at that? Plus, she's a blonde, and is confusing to some viewers who haven't seen the show in a while.

Unless they turn Seaver into a brunette next season and suddenly give her brains, why would she still be needed on the show? If Paget doesn't come back, give us an experienced, intelligent redhead! Even if they make Seaver a redhead, they still can't give her much brains, although they seem to be trying. :headache:

Just wanted to chime in.... YIPEEE!!!!! JJ is coming back. The show has really missed her.

Hmmm :scratchin I like your Rossi theory ::yes::

I have a theory about Seaver. I think that the season finale will end on a cliff hanger involving her, and it can go either way. If Paget gets re-signed over the summer, they can kill Seaver off or have her just freak out and leave(Too much blood? :p) or whatever. If Paget doesn't come back, they'll save Seaver.

I stopped watching too but now I'm watching fairly regularly.

With Seaver's dad an unsub, maybe she turns to the bad side too. Can you imagine the story line? And unsub working for the BAU?
