I have feeling he ends up fostering her or adopting her. Several weeks ago, I posted something one of the producers said about how one team member keeps in contact with someone from the Season Premiere, who ends up affecting that person for a long time. :scratchin

Tink, have you learned anything new in your criminology class? :)

I hope he adopts her! That would be so sweet :lovestruc We'll find out within the next 50 minutes :thumbsup2 How the heck does a 9 year old sneak onto a plane and get across the country?

Sorry it took me a week to respond to this. Busy week! Well the criminology part was only one unit. It's really a psych class. Unfortunately the criminology part ended last week :sad2: I actually didn't learn much that I hadn't already learned from CM  I was talking to my cousin(a psych major) and I was like "Is it creepy that I knew almost everything that my teacher taught?" and she said no, CM is just a very accurate show

In other news, I got my driver's license today

Thank you! It is weird that this episode is on the day I get my license! There are a lot of things I won't do after watching CM :scared1: Like letting a random kid stay at my house

:rotfl2: Rossi's line: "What, I know things."

Like letting a random kid stay at my house

I guess I won't be answering the door for an innocent looking Girl Scout selling cookies anymore. :scared1:

Rats! I totally forgot this was on. Obviously I deserve my membership in the Old Fogies Club. I've been watching Ghost Hunters and wondering how much of it is fake. :happytv:

Ok, I won't give away any detailed info in case anybody hasn't seen it yet but that kid in the vehicle with the woman, well he isn't very nice!

My DH doesn't normally watch CM but he did tonight. He says "No one takes a strange boy home to spend the night!". I told him that he would be surprised what people do sometimes. I know that I wouldn't but do believe that there are people out there who would.

Wasn't it set in Iowa? Maybe in the quieter, more rural areas where there is so much less crime, there would be some people that are really trusting.

I'd be worried I'd wake up and find my TV, iPod, etc., stolen.

I just remembered that in the movie, The Blind Side, they took in the kid, Michael, for the night.

If i found a innocent looking lost kid I would probably take him home and tgry to contact his folks. Remember that we already know the Jeremy kid was evil but the lady does not so its easy to believe a kid is not threat.

I was finally able to stay awake for the entire show last night. It can be difficult when you watch tv in bed.

CM Rule #623 - Don't let strange kids stay at your house.

I don't care how innocent a kid looks. I would never bring a strange kid to my house. Maybe it is all the crime and legal based shows that I watch, but I am pretty paranoid. That is what cell phones are for.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't even stop for a kid the unsub's age. I know that might make me a horrible person, but so-be-it. If the kid was in an unsafe area, I'd call the police to deal with it.

Also, my daughter is paranoid as well, and would never try to convince me to bring the kid home. :)

Me too. For all the same reasons. Maybe it's living in a major metropolitan area, but I don't think I'd stop either. I'd call the cops, but unless someone is in immediate trouble, I'm not stopping.

::yes:: That list of "Things not to do" gets longer as this series goes on. :scared1:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Don't ever let anyone talk her out of her instincts. Gavin de Becker's book The Gift of Fear, talks about how most victims he's interviewed had an intuition or voice inside that warned them, and they talked themselves out of it and dismissed it. Usually that's because someone else talked them out of listening to themselves, over smaller stuff.

unless someone is in immediate trouble, I'm not stopping.

I thought about that. If I saw someone lying by the side of a pretty much isolated road, or in the middle of the road and I just swerved around him, would I stop to help? What if he needed immediate medical assistance like CPR, and waiting for an ambulance would be too late? What if he was simply crossing the road, had a heart attack and colapsed? Someone else might run him over because I don't stop to help, like put my car where people would have to swerve around the car, or to try to drag him off the road?

But, then I think, I don't know why he's lying by the side of the road? :scared: What if his assailant is still around and if I stop, the guy comes out of the bushes and goes after ME? :scared1:

As bad as I'd feel for not helping immediately, :( I'd just call the cops.

One of the first things they teach you in first responder class is that if you aren't safe, you won't be any help to anyone else. It is like if you are at a pool and someone is drowning. Jumping in to help if you aren't a strong swimmer could just end up making two people in trouble. It doesn't make you a bad person to not put yourself in danger, but calling someone who is in a better position to help is a good idea! :) Thank goodness for cell phones!

Tomorrow, I'll post some pics of the spin-off series, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior.

What what!! I had no idea but hope it is as good as the original. I don't follow the news when it relates to television shows much so I'm not surprised I missed it.

Another great episode. I am hoping the little Morgan side story with the kid is over now though. It just leaves less airtime for the current case.

Like others I would never stop for anyone walking on the side of the road or hitchhiking unless I knew them. I'd feel bad but you've got to look our for number one.

I had no idea there was another series coming out. Can anyone give me some info about when it will start, who is in it, and what it is about?

I found it a little hypocritical of Hotch to say that a child needs someone steady at home. HELLO? Hotch, you're always away on cases and your SIL (according to the funeral episode,) comes over to stay with your son while you are away, and is most likely the one raising your son. :confused3

Check the first post in this thread. :) I put some info about it there. I try to keep the OP up to date, for newbies to read and for others to stay current. :goodvibes

We were introduced to the new (spin-off) team last season. It was the one where Forest Whitaker's team joined forces with our usual team in San Francisco, to stop some guy who was forcing men to beat each other to death, while he was holding hostage the daughter of one of the men forced to fight.

It's set to be a mid-season replacement, as some show on CBS gets cancelled.

I'll post some pictures of them filming, early this evening. I can't now, I have a couple client sessions soon. :goodvibes

Oh I remember that episode. I told dh at the time hey it seems like they could be a spin off show. Cool
