Cricut Design Studio?

I have a question on the design studio softwear for the Cricut. With the DS can you makes words come together so when you cut them they cut out as one piece and not individual letters. Like my name Becky can I use the DS and put it together and cut it as one word? or will it still cut as 5 individual letters? I'm just not sure how this works.

Yup it becomes one image. You can also add things so that maybe the "e" in Becky is a mickey head. it is called welding.
