Cricut Craftroom

Has anyone been using the Craftroom? I tried it, and it's supposed to cut, but I'm anxious to update my firmware and still be able to use SCAL 2. Does anyone know if it works if you update?

I just never got into using SCAL like I thought I would. My E has never been hooked up with it. Actually I never updated the old version of SCAL.

I have not used Cricut Craftroom, but I would be concerned about that too. I would be very cautious if I were you.

P.S. I do not really understand craft room, can someone give a brief overview?

The craftroom software is an online version of Design Studio. I use CDS a lot to weld and turn off contours so as to not waste paper. You can do the same thing on the Gypsy, but my old eyes don't like the size of the G as much as my PC

Gotcha! Yeah, I would not do the update. I have not had SCAL long, but I love it too much to risk it!

Yeah, I'm not taking the chance. As much as I'd love to use the Craftroom software, I use my SCAL more. If I had the extra money, I'd buy another E and use that one on Craftroom only (I saw a teal one at WM for $198).
