Cribs in Studios

I'm thinking about renting points for a studio for May 2006 in either VWL, BCV or BWV. I'll be travelling with a 6 month old. Has anyone gotten a crib at any of these locations and if so, what was your impression. Thanks.

We requested a crib at BWV (studio) for our 6 month old baby. It was a metal crib (similar to a hospital crib). It came with one crib sheet, no blankets. (I don't think there was a bumper pad - maybe somone else could chime in on that.) There's a limited number of cribs available so you might want to add it to your requests. That's what we did and it was in the studio when we arrived. It worked out fine!

All of the DVC units come with a Pac 'n Play portable crib. If that will work for you, no need to request the metal one. There should be linens with the portable, but you may wish to bring your won.

Just wanted to mention that the Pac 'N Play didn't come with the bassinet part. It probably wouldn't matter for a 6 month old baby, but I was just there this weekend with an 11 week old baby who happens to be on the small size (was a preemie and is still only up to 7 lbs) and we couldn't use the Pac N Play because he was too small for it.

We have used the Pack N Plays provided since DS was 8 months old. He sleeps wonderfully in it. He'll be 4 on 9/8 and STILL prefers to sleep in one when we are away! All scrunched up...but whatever makes the little dude happy
Disney provides Graco PNPs, which are nice, but the mattress isn't well padded. We usually grab an extra blanket from the closet (or ask Mousekeeping) and pad under the mattress w/ it. They provide cute Mickey sheets for it too, but I always bring our own, along w/ DS's favorite blankies.

Yes, there is a Pac N Play in every closet.

This is a great perk! The minivan will not be as full....(at least on the way down)!
