Cribs at the Dolphin

Has anyone requested a crib at the Swan/Dolphin? I will need one for our trip. When I inquired the CM on the phone really did not have to much info for me (She sounded young and probabbly a crib is a crib to her) she was very nice and sweet but counldnt tell me if it was full sized crib, pack and play type, porta crib type etc. I am debating renting one from "A Baby's Best Friend" while we are there. I really want the baby to sleep well so we can all enjoy the trip. If the Dolphin has decent cribs I will just use the one we are going to be given. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in adance.

We were at the Dolphin in October last year. We received a regualr full size metal white crib. My baby girl slept just fine in it! When we go back, I will need 2 cribs! lol preggo with baby #5 due in July, Its a boy after having 4 Darling daughtes. Good luck to you and have fun!

We have used cribs at both Swan and Dolphin as well as many other WDW hotels. The cribs are very sturdy, metal bar cribs with a Disney Babies bumper pad. They have a regular (like home) crib matress and crib sheets. We also were given a flat top sheet, a couple receiving blankets and a slightly larger woven cotten blanket. Our DD#1 used them from 12-23 months old, was not able to escape, and had plenty of room to move around. She could also sit or stand in them much like she could in her home crib. DD#1 is very tall, and did not bump her head; she was able to stretch out. The crib was on casters, which was convenient when we rolled her across the hall to my parents room for a night! It was also nice as we were able to easily move it in the room to make the best use of our space.

Dumb question, but the bumper pad can be removed, right? Our 'escape artist' 2 yr. old would use the pad for a step to get right out.

Thanks for the crib info. It is nice to know we will not have to rent a crib. The baby will be 5 months and I am hoping to keep things as close to home as possible. Congrats Mom Poppins.......this is #3 for us...a surprise!!!! DS is 13 and DD is 12 We have had 3 ultrasounds and have not been able to discover is this is a boy or girl. Oh well, I guess it will just be another surprise!!!
