I need to find a disney property that either has real cribs, toddler beds or single beds that I can put rails on. Does this exist? I would prefer to be close to MK b/c DD is 2.3 and I think we'll spend most of our time here, plus we'd like to be able to go back for naps.

Does anyone have any ideas?

GF had real cribs. I think you can get bed rails at all the resorts. They had day beds at the Deluxe resorts and you can put rails on those.

None of the resorts in WDW have "real cribs". They are not the same size as real cribs, they are the size of a pack 'n play, but are raised off the floor and "look" like a crib. Not a good option for a child over 2. All WDW resorts have bed rails, so that won't be a problem and as the previous posted stated all deluxe resorts (with the exception of WL and only in the deluxe rooms at AKL) have day beds. The day bed is against the wall, and is basically a twin bed. Now, the sides (actually top and bottom) aren't what I would consider safe, if you're trying to secure a small child in. They aren't very high and a older toddler could easily climb over them or even worse yet, roll over them and fall out. You're only options are to secure a queen size bed with either another adult on one side, or make it a VERY LARGE crib, or stay at the WL and request bunk beds. You could put your toddler in the lower bunk, secured with bed rails. Personally, we usually place our 19 month old in bed with my DH and secure one side of the bed with bed rails, works best for us. If you're opposed to that, then go with the WL. The bottom bunk would suit your needs perfectly!!

How long ago were you there - they advertise pack and play on the website.

Thanks

As you can see, I was just at the GF in July and the cribs were SMALL!! Too small for my 14 month old at the time, so we just used bed rails!!

The crib I had at the Polynesian was a "half crib." The mattress is the same size as the Pack N Play as posted above. My 22-month-old DS started out in it but only slept for 4-5 hours and would later have to be transferred into bed with my DH (with a bedrail on one side and the other at the end of the bed).

We stayed at the S/D many times when dd was 2 & 3. She slept in the "portacrib" there without any problem but she is petite.

Now she is 4 and the last 2 trips I have brought a single aerobed with us and she loves it. It has a little pump to blow up and a bag you can put it in along with a mattress pad and sheet. We make a space for it on the floor along the wall by the amoire (so you don't have to worry about them falling out of it, even put a bedrail next to it the first time but not necessary).

You may have to rearrange some furniture but it works fine. Last visit we stayed at WL and their rooms are smaller than the S/D & it was fine.

We tent her in by stringing a clothesline from the slider hook lock to the amoire door or a chair and throw a king sized sheet over it. She loves that, real cozy. Easier for her to sleep when we're not in view.

The other option you have is to reserve a room with a daybed. I know POLY has them but not sure which other ones do. It is the size of a twin bed and you can put a rail on one side. This would limit you to specific resorts though.
