Has anyone had luck getting their crib and high chair requests at SSR? And if so, anyone happen to have pics of what they looked like? And or pics of the pack 'n plays? I am trying to decide if we should chance getting our requests or just go ahead and reserve them through A Baby's Best Friend. Our daughter will be 10 months at the time of our trip in May and I want her to be confortable on the trip as well :cloud9:

What size room are you staying in? I know that the 1 BR & 2 BR villas have high chairs (the wooden kind like in restaurants). I can't recall if studios have them. All DVC rooms have a Pack N Play. I don't know if that's what you are looking for or if you're looking for a real crib. I don't knoiw about that as my kids have always used the PnP.

Have a fun trip! :goodvibes

We stayed in a 2 bdrm villa at SSR in Oct. A small wooden highchair, like those found in most restaurants, and a pack 'n play were already in the room. We called the front desk after getting to our room and asked for a crib to be brought to our room. About 90 mins and 2 phone calls later (another to the front desk and one to Housekeeping), a housekeeper showed up with a small crib. It is not full-sized, but it was very comfy for our 8.5 month old DD and it was easier to get her in and out of it than the pnp. From what I can recall, it looks somewhat like this:

Thanks for your responses! Seems like we'll be fine with the high chair and pack 'n play then, but probably we will get one of the full size cribs from ABBF just for peace of mind and comfortability of our little one :cloud9:

We ended up putting the pnp in front of the sliding door in the living room of our villa. We put some of DD's toys & books in it and let her play in there for a short time each morning while we adults ate breakfast and relaxed.

This is interesting to me. I have twins and requested two of the Pack n Plays and high chairs. If the rooms already have one of each surely they will just leave ONE more of each, not two.

Are there times when you request something before arrival and it is not there?

We just got back from SSR last night. We're DVC members, so everytime I call member services to request a crib (real one, not a PNP), I am told they don't have them. Then I have to go through telling them that we have stayed there a few times and always get a crib. They put me on hold and come back to say they will put in a request, but it's not guaranteed. In the 4 trips we've stayed there, there has always been one waiting in the room.

:thanks: I keep getting the run around from Disney on this one and don't want to have to deal with the potential hassel so we've decided just to rent one from ABBF. Especially if it might be the metal kind. I know she'll sleep better and so will we if she is in a comfy crib just like she is used to at home :cloud9:
